Food was just okay. The young lady who served us had an attitude, almost throwing things at our table. Told us they were out of rice (it is a Mexican restaurant, how do you run out of rice) then brought us the bill without asking if we wanted desert, when we told her we wanted the flan, she said they were out of that as well. I am sure there are plenty of other places in Phoenix better than Los Sombreros.

This place is cozy. The food is delicious. The service is great. They got a bar and TV tp check out the sports games. The only problem I have with it is that they charge for refills, even on fountain drinks. That is a turn off for me. If that doesn’t bother you, then you will enjoy your dining here. I just don’t want to have to pay a 75 cent charge everything I finish a drink because I get thirsty.

I’ve been ordering from there for the last couple of years. I always get a kids meal for my son, usually a plain taco plate kid’s meal. They decided to put hot salsa on a kid’s meal. When I called to complain, the worker tells me that I needed to put no salsa on the order. Again I’ve never wrote “no salsa” because it’s never had hot salsa. She tried to make it seem like it’s my fault. They lost me as a customer.

Food was very good, but there was only one waitress working when I arrived and she never got any help. It was very hard to get her attention for service I also dislike that the coffee was served in Styrofoam cups☹. It takes away from the taste of good coffee.

I’ve been a customer for over 20 years here. The food is excellent and the staff treats people like family. I know better than to go to a chain Mexican restaurant. This is a family owned place with home-style Mexican food. It’s my favorite Mexican restaurant within driving distance!
