Los Tios Mexican Restaurants have been serving Houston authentic Tex-Mex for almost 5 decades. In that time, devoted diners have made Los Tios a family tradition handed down over generations. Favorite tables, favorite waiters and most importantly favorite dishes have become rituals with Houstonians who have named Los Tios “Houston’s Best Tex-Mex” time and again. Los Tios offers Tex-Mex favorites that include fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, nachos, tamales, burritos, quesadillas and our famous puffy shells dripping in creamy chile con queso. Many Houstonians got their first taste of a frozen margarita at Los Tios as we introduced Houston’s first frozen margaritas back in 1975.

First time dining here and I was greatly impressed! They gave me complimentary flour chips and queso. The service was fantastic, quick, prompt and personable. The food! Pictured is the Buffalo shrimp. Massive in size and out of this word delicious. They offer a pick 2 item lunch special and, because in always on the look out for a great breakfast, I posted a picture of that as well. The interior is spacious and tasteful. Great Tex Mex, and way better prices than other places nearby. The house Ritas are deceptively strong, and I love the homemade corn tortillas. I’ve been several times and have never had a bad experience. Get here early for happy hour, or you’ll find the parking lot is already full.

We had a huge mix up with our DoorDash order. I had to return to the restaurant myself, which was frustrating BUT the manager on duty was extremely kind. Took the time to explain what happened and what she was doing to try and rectify it. Remade my order with quickness and provided outstanding customer service. It is hard to find great customer service in the food industry so great job Los Tios. Food did not disappoint either.

I went here on a recommendation. The food was OK, and not a very large menu. There weren’t very many people there, we visited around 3:30pm. I was charged for a beer I didn’t order, it took 3 times asking for a Coke, and 2 times asking for a re refill of chips and salsa before the server brought it. Server forgot two items we had ordered. When ordering thebserver was just saying “yes” to everything we were asking for, then would forget. The atmosphere…the music was some kind of country singer singing songs half in Spanish/English. Yeah, I won’t be going here again.
