recently reopened after remodel. was excited, got there and they had linguine as their lo mein noodles, vegetable rice tasted disgusting and bourbon chicken now tastes horrible. didn’t have sauce for rice like they usually did, gave me soy sauce packets. prices went up and now it’s $9.74 for a two chicken entree with side and a large drink.

I had worked here for a few months. The manager I believe is racist. When I had my interview we were talking about the type of work environment he wanted and he said to me “what would it look like if I had black guys working” he seen my expression and changed it around to say people would think the restaurant is a soul food place. Then I told my friend who is African American to apply to lotus bc she needed a job. During her interview he said he didn’t want any loud or “ghetto” people working there. She is hard worker and didn’t last a week bc he moved her to Popeyes. He wanted to train me to be assistant manager but I told him I needed off Sundays because I got to Islamic classes and he told me he didn’t want me as assistant manager. Another incident that happened was a young lady was working and she quit he was gossiping to me about her and said “she’s pregnant with a black guy” as if that was worng/disgusting. Then an African American girl started working here a couple weeks ago and she was working very hard I had a feeling he was going to fire her, he made up little excuses about what was wrong with her that were lies bc I seen how she worked myself. I put in my 2 weeks and he told me not to come back. Every African American he had working here he fired within a couple of weeks. He never fired anyone else. They either stopped showing up or found a better job.

The food tasted ok but it definitely made me sick; probably from inadequate holding temperatures. My lomain was in part kind of hot in some places, but mostly warm and lukewarm in others. I should have known better.
