We came for the pizza, and it was pretty good. I see some reviews saying the pizza was awful, and I have to disagree. If you like STL style pizza, you’ll like this. If you don’t like thin crust & provel cheese, you will not like it.

I absolutely love Italian food, and this is some of the best I’ve ever had! The calamari and seafood pasta were amazing. My girlfriend and I were originally going to cunetto’s house of pasta but they had a really long wait, so we went here. Best decision ever!

They are a great family style italian resturant, the drink adult style was well masterly blended and the scallops were perfect.. low cost, for what it is, and a five star eat

Went there today for lunch. Took my kid with me, I was looking forward to sharing with her what I had experienced as a kid an young adult. The food WAS always good! NOT anymore! Ordered a pizza, chicken parm. Not good at all! Pizza was over cooked, sauce had not taste. The chicken parm same way no flavor! The sauce tasted like it was from jar. Paid $33. I don’t care about the price. The quality of the food was not good at all. Not sure who is running the place now. Certainly not Lou. Very disappointing. Going to leave the memories of what is WAS in my head. Once I get the taste of todays lunch out! Disappointing!

The lettuce on the salads was like they just dumped a bag on the plate and it was brown in places. Our pastas with cream sauce tasted like bland gravy. Hardly any cheese flavor at all.

This was highly recommended so I was excited to try it. I ordered a two topping small pizza $12 and the special salad for $8. I also left a $3 tip. I was very surprised when I got home with a salad that had one slice of overcooked egg, old cabbage and lettuce, one lone tomato and tiny pieces of a meat. The pizza had one visible topping and overly done as evidenced by the brown cheese. I should have known as I was the only customer in the place. Try elsewhere for pizza.

Food was below average. The service was slow. The kitchen forgot an order. Pizza was made with cheese that tasted like sliced American cheddar. The pizza was 30 minutes late and awful.

As in many small family restaurants in Italy, Lou Boccardi’s is small, homey and fringes on modest — no modern furnishings, no marble bar, no crystal light fixtures. Instead it’s an old and weathered bar, the stairs to the upstairs dining area squeak and give with each step, and there are chipped places in the wall frescoes. JUST like a neighborhood restaurant in Naples or Milan. The food is authentic, and my favorite is the house dressing (I’m not a fan of anchovy anything, but go out on a limb — it’s quite a distinctive flavor!).
