About Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria
Considered the oldest family name in Chicago pizza, Lou Malnati’s is as rich in history as its pizza is in flavor.
Lou Malnati got his start in the 1940’s working in Chicago’s first deep dish pizzeria. He took his pizza expertise to Lincolnwood, a northern suburb of Chicago, where he and his wife Jean opened the first Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria on March 17, 1971. Lou was known for his fun-loving character as well as making Chicago’s best pizza. Loyal patrons lined the streets on opening day for a taste of his delicious deep dish creations. Lou always thought it was funny that an Italian should open a pizzeria in a Jewish neighborhood on an Irish holiday.

It’s been a while since I’ve left a review but I’m back now and this time we visited Chicago! We went to Lou Malnati’s Pizzaria! The had Great food, a friendly staff and a chill atmosphere to enjoy with friends and family ! I absolutely loved the Supreme Pizza, those fresh veggies hit the spot(that was my favorite)! We also tried the meat lovers, it had a slight spice to the sausages but it was still OFF THE CHAIN! We got two pizzas that totaled about $105 but it was definitely worth it! When I go back to Chicago, I’ll definitely go back for another slice of that Chicago pie!! 5 stars! Thanks Lou Manati’s!!! Great job!!!

First time ordering for Lou Malnati’s. Ordered my my husband, Ken Kent, July 16, 2022, a “build you own”. Chose to pay the delivery driver, but we’re not told it would be cash. Had to call and pay over the phone with a tip for the driver (Abdul), hope they do not forget to give it to him.

Place is great. The guy I always speak to is what makes it great because he’s so friendly and helpful esp when I’ve got problems ordering via the app. And the pizza is great as well. Never thought I’d be a sauce on the top person but this sauce is sooo good!

Well, we decided to try Lou Malnati’s newly opened outpost at 86th and Michigan Road area here in Indianapolis . The pizzas were a medium cheese deep dish and a large pepperoni deep dish both with butter crusts. These were not deep dish pizzas. They

Hands down the worst Chicago style pizza I’ve ever eaten. At least it’s edible, I suppose, so that’s something. Decided to try it a second time to make sure and it was just as bad this time.

Hands down the best pizza in town and I’ve tried them all! I get the tavern style and it’s awesome! My husband gets the gluten free and it’s the best GF out there. We also get the salad and it’s amazing, too!

Just spent $27 on bread. This is the worst deep dish pizza I’ve ever had including what you can buy at the frozen section at any grocery store. Look at the picture. This “deep dish” is 95% bread with next to no sauce on top and almost no cheese at all. You had to search to find the cheese and meat on this pizza. It was just a thin layer on top of all the bread. It probably cost the company no more than $3 to make and they up charge it to $27 just for a medium. If you want a quick deep dish pizza your way better off going to Jets Pizza. Feel ripped off. Extremely disappointed. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Literally the worst pizza I have ever had . I want my money back to be honest . It had NO FLAVOR whatsoever . It tasted like I was eating stale bread with tomato paste smeared on it . Absolutely disgusting ! I lived in Chicago for years and the quality of this is very very far off from Chicago locations for some reason. There is no flavor whatsoever . The crust was as hard as a rock . I couldn’t cut through it . The sauce had no flavor and tasted like raw tomatoes , And There was a very minimal amount of cheese . It was terrible and I gave my dog a part of the crust and he literally dropped it and ran away and has been sad ever since . Terrible . Never again . $25 down the toilet
