About Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria
Considered the oldest family name in Chicago pizza, Lou Malnati’s is as rich in history as its pizza is in flavor.
Lou Malnati got his start in the 1940’s working in Chicago’s first deep dish pizzeria. He took his pizza expertise to Lincolnwood, a northern suburb of Chicago, where he and his wife Jean opened the first Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria on March 17, 1971. Lou was known for his fun-loving character as well as making Chicago’s best pizza. Loyal patrons lined the streets on opening day for a taste of his delicious deep dish creations. Lou always thought it was funny that an Italian should open a pizzeria in a Jewish neighborhood on an Irish holiday.

Love love love this pizza!! I like both thin crust and the deep dish. The photo shows a large deep dish, a small deep dish, and a small thin crust pizza. I also like that they have low fat mozzarella options. They also have gluten free options as well but I have not tried those

Since we were visiting friends in the Chicago area, we knew we had to have a Chicago-style pizza. Our friends recommended Lou Malnati’s and they were right. We ordered take out and were glad we did. Everything about this pizza was exquisite. From the crust to the cheese to the sauce, this was one delicious deep dish pizza. I enjoyed the taste of the sauce and how crunchy the crust was. The service in the store was excellent. The store itself had a unique decor for a takeout only location.

This location is still a top tier pizza to me. They seem to be struggling to get orders out the last couple times I’ve been there and they occasionally need to be reminded what “extra spinach” means. There was a time when “spinach” was actually more than “”extra spinach” is now.

Terrible experience on tonight’s delivery. What was supposed to be half a pepperoni pizza resulted in a lousy 2 pieces of pepperoni. Both kinds of pizzas were undercooked. From the deep dish to the thin crust. Wings were dry and had no seasoning. The quality of the food has been dimishing by the visit. The only money that was well spent tonight was on the driver’s tip. A pity considering I have been coming to Lou’s forever. Definitely will never return. Save your time and money and take a pass on Lou’s in Cary.

This is our go-to Lou Malnati’s location for pickup. Placing an online order is easy and straightforward. This location is super fast and always has my order ready on time.

Not bad! The butter crust was great! The sauce was a bit runny so I couldn’t give it 5 stars…other than that…amazing pizza and great wings! I had the personal deep dish with butter crust (crispier than regular) and it was delicious!

I have order from this location many times and my overall experience is less than satisfactory. I ordered tonight for delivery and they just never sent the pizza. I finally after a hour a half called them and they are closed. No pizza and no help. This is the first time this has happened but before this I have had out of the last 6 pizzas 4 that where nowhere near the quality I have come to expect from the other Lou Malnati’s locations. This is why I am not leaving 1 star. This is the last time I will ever order from this location!

Sadly, the last two times I’ve been here the quality gets worse and worse. They can’t make a simple half pepperoni half sausage pizza. The quality of the tomatoes has really gotten bad they’re not as fresh as they used to be, and the salad is nowhere as good as it used to be either. It’s a shame that Lou’s has really went down in quality over the last year-and-a-half. Won’t be going back anymore
