I first set foot here back in 1986 as a college freshman, and literally ate here hundreds of times over the 4 years. It’s still the same wonderful warm atmosphere with great affordable food, and though my $2.95 Erskine Special, big hamburger on Texas toast with fries and tea, is slightly more expensive now, it tastes just as good as I remembered. If you’re anywhere near Honea Path this is the place to stop it is a real tradition.

I love this restaurant. This restaurant is more like a home away from home. I never understood that before till I started going here almost every day. Everyone comes here because of friends and family get together not just food. Which is great by the way. And all of the waitress are absolutely amazing. This restaurant is something you would find in a movie about a small southern town :).

Waited over hour for food!! People came in after us got food before us all food was cold. Even the tiny wings that we waited 15 min after we got our food. Onion rings almost had frost on them. Charged us 40 dollars for food hamburger steaks tiny son had gravy biscuits and has browns. Son asked for all flats got one. Will NEVER go back and suggest you do the same. Owners should be ashamed. Once one of my favorites went every sat with family six I wouldn’t send my worst enemy there. Made me give one star or id give negative stars or zero.

Food was tasty, in good portions, for $6-9 a plate. The coffee was good. The waitresses were helpful, attentive, and efficient. It is a bit smokey inside and the kitchen doesn’t look very clean from the outside, but those are only minor complaints. Overall, this is a pretty solid choice for a local breakfast.

Wwnt in and sat down, no waitress came to take our order in the 20 minutes we were there. We have been going to Lou and Perry’s for 20 years and have never experienced this before. Others in the restaurant were waited on and served while we waited. My wife and I left and went to Amanda’s right behind Lou and Perry’s and were waited on and served in 10 minutes. Lunch at Amanda’s was hot, fast, and delicious.
