I took my wife out to dinner at Louie’s on a Friday at 5:45 pm. This place is right in the middle of the university campus. Their main business is take out, but they do have a couple of tables inside that you can use to eat there.

This is the ONLY real wings and fries fish establishment in Valparaiso and it is superb! My family ordered their perch, catfish, shrimp, chicken tenders, and wings. Everything was cooked to perfection! They actually season their food with flavorful herbs and spices not just dry cornmeal batter. It’s fried to a tender crisp and not overdone like most places tend to do. The dine in area is clean and well spaced out to accommodate social distancing. The owner and staff are very friendly as well. I recommend calling ahead to place an order whether you plan on dining in or take out because there is a wait for the food to be prepared. But believe me when I say, it’s worth it! They are in the process of hiring more cooks and servers so that should help. If you want the best fish and wings in town, head straight to Louie’s and prepare to be amazed!

I don’t know how Valparaiso, Indiana got so lucky to be the host of a sister restaurant from Oklahoma, but I am so glad for it! Everything I’ve had here has been so delicious from chicken to shrimp to catfish. It’s a briny flavor you can’t find anywhere else in town and I crave it!

This place is amazing! In my opinion regions best friend chicken been eating here for years and never once has it been off or bad in anyway! Chicken wings are always huge and seasoned very well nice and crispy and juicy never dry and with the lemon pepper mixed with their sauce to good, deals such as the wedensay 3.99 chicken sandwich and fries deal is almost to good to be true lol it’s massive and delicious, .50 cent wing Tuesday is an amazing deal where can you find amazing big wings for that price these days ? You can here! Also love the shrimp and catfish! As long as this place is in business I will continue supporting them 🙂 oh and wait times are always short 10/10!!

Where do I start with this? The service and staff are the kindest people I’ve ever met, they make you feel like you’re best of friends. The food is on another level entirely. I’ve tried the tenders, wings, and the shrimp, and they have all been fantastic. The only downside is that other place’s shrimp will now seem inedible in comparison. Highly recommend

I am sitting here right now and I have taken three bites of food. This is amazing. The wings and catfish meal is the way to go. The owner offered us a sample of the shrimp that they are going to start selling in a basket. Absolutely the most amazing shrimp I’ve ever laid my teeth into. Nice cozy small restaurant, clean establishment and restrooms, the owner is very friendly and pleasant to speak to. I recommend this place if you are in Valpo. There is no reason to not visit this restaurant even if you’re just driving through Valpo it’s worth a stop. Three bites of food and this is on my top 10 already. Wish I could bring this restaurant to my hometown.
