Wonderful place! The BEST Alfredo with shrimp I’ve had that didn’t make myself! Perfect pasta! The homemade bread was simply divine! You have to try an Italian soda too! Yummy! 10 out of 10. My left overs reheated marvelously. I’ll be back !

Food was GREAT! Staff very courteous, friendly and attentive. Seriously, the best Italian food I’ve had in a restaurant ever. Nice ambiance for a relaxing dinner. I highly recommend and plan to go back….often. Next time I’ve got to try the pizza. Everyone I saw looked absolutely delicious. I had loui’s special sausage and pepper sauced spaghetti. My husband had clam linguine. The clans were cooked to perfection and there were plenty for him to enjoy.

$22 chicken piccata. No cream sauce, noodles were dry, the “Spinach” was their bagged arugula salad that was just a wilted mess. The cooks in the kitchen looked like they cared more about their phone than any food they were putting out. If you were thinking third time a charm for Louis, think again.

Been eating Louies/Nicolas my entire life, I was thrilled when they reopened I made sure to be the first in line for my classic pepperoni pineapple pizza! It was a pleasant surprise to see the return of Louie’s Pizza and Pasta to North Portland after a prolonged absence. We often had lunch at the old location especially focused on the mini-pizza. When Louie closed that location, we felt like we were losing an old friend. Consequently, when we stumbled across the new location, we were delighted. With an expanded menu and more seating, this gem should be a must stop for residents of the St. John’s area of North Portland. The pizza is still a stellar attraction with a slightly browned crust bursting with flavor in every bite. We have dined a number of times trying such delights as the ravioli and tortellini as main dishes with a starter of garlic bread toasted perfectly with just the right amount of garlic. A limited, but appropriate sample of wines to pare with food is very welcome. Top your dinner off with a choice of three desserts any of which satisfies your sweet tooth, and you will walk out thankful you found this type of quality. Louie and his son have created a dining experience the whole family can enjoy. You often don’t get this type of quality at such affordable prices. We drive 17 miles from Beaverton to enjoy the food, the ambience, and good cheer offered by an attentive staff. Don’t miss this wonderful dining experience!

Came to check out Louie’s while visiting family in Portland. Ambiance was nice and laid back, very clean environment. The staff were warm and welcoming. The food was amazing. We ordered the chicken pesto pizza, Canadian bacon & pineapple pizza, pasta bolognese and, lasagna. Definitely a place my family will continue to frequent. Lucca the fried ravioli and cannolli were amazing and an added special treat! Much success to you and your family!

Lovely ambience. The best Fettuccine Alfredo I’ve had anywhere. Highly recommend adding shrimp. Louie’s Special pizza was loaded w high quality meats. Best part was dipping the pizza in the Alfredo sauce Delicious Italian soda(the sweet cream was to die for!) It was an excellent meal and reasonably priced. Grazie!
