Tried Lousiana Crab Shack for the first time. It was good! Had the Half Catfish and Half Shrimp Basket! It came out hot and tasty! Wife had the Jumbo Gumbo and it was full of flavor…got to sample it and agreed it was good. Had the Calamari for an app and it was hit and tender! The breading on it was great! I saw a few other things on the menu I wanted to try and will make a list next time I’m here.

Food was decent. But the service was slow there were employees just standing at the bar in a huddle just talking. The prices were high for what you get. The shrimp was good the blue crab was terrible. The fries are thick and not cooked very well

I finally tried Louisiana Crab Shack in Kyle for the first time, and boy was I excited to be trying the “new place”! Lol. I was NOT disappointed. I was starving, so I went crazy on appetizers and ordered Cajun Fries, sweet potato fries and the fried calamari. All three were great, fresh and well seasoned. Robert ordered the gumbo and fried catfish for his entrees. He ended up sending the gumbo back (they were kind enough to refund us for that dish) because for some reason it was watery. See Pic. Not at all what was expected with Gumbo, but he grew up on the Ar/La border, so he knows what he likes and expects in regard to Gumbo. The fried catfish was enjoyable but not super special…just regular fried catfish. I ordered the grilled shrimp with cajun rice and vegetables. The shrimp was wonderful, I scarfed it down quickly. The cajun rice was not very seasoned and was kind of bland but the vegetables were good. In all, I enjoyed Louisiana Crab Shack, it’s nice to know I can get some seafood/cajun fare in Kyle. I will def visit again. I had one major complaint? Why, why, why styrofoam? Both glasses of water and one soft drink were served to us in these environmental disasters and I was so surprised by it that I had to take a pic of the cups! LCS – please ditch the styrofoam!

From the second I walked in, I was greeted at the door. Walked me to my seat, while I explained it was my first time here & I’ve been waiting for them to finally open. I had a bowl of Gumbo off the app menu, ate it too fast to take a photo. To say the least it was great. My main dish came which was the #2 on boil bags they offered, I had the all of the above spice & Inferno level heat. Kind how I like my life. I ate every bit of it & highly recommend to anyone who enjoys Cajun food like I do.

This place would be top notch if they had a manger that cared! Food has great flavor but is not prepared properly (cold gumbo) and customer service is absolutely horrible. I’ll attach a couple of pictures that I took about 5 minutes apart of the employees doing what they do. I have been there 3 times and will try one more time tonight. Good luck me!

Second time trying this place before writing a review. Wife ordered grilled fish and it came out definitely not grilled and way undercooked. They took it back and apparently stuck it in the microwave then threw it back on the plate. Everything else on the plate was now cold. Also ordered half fish half shrimp plate, fish tasted horrible, definitely will not be wasting my money at this place again. Try at your own risk!

Service was prompt.. portions are very skimpy..if you wanna fill up, dont come here.. snack portions at best.. if not plan on spending 50 bucks each.. and that’s without alcohol. Seriously..

I am only giving 3 stars because of the service. The food was good. Fried catfish was tasty, not “muddy” like it can be sometimes. Fries were crispy and had good seasoning. We got the # 1 boil, snow crab and shrimp. Seasoning could have been a little more heavy handed. But the quality and taste of the crab and shrimp was good.
