Ordered for the first time online today , Shannon was extremely helpful and very sweet ! I called first to ask about the food if it comes frozen or fresh . She answered all of my questions! Went to pick up my order she explained how the scheduling works and let me pick out some fresh meals since the ones I ordered today is for the following week and I didn’t know but she explained everything and now we know how it works ! The food was delicious! Very tasty ! Same as the desserts ! I highly recommend this place ! Will definitely be ordering more !

I’ve been doing keto since November and have been successful, but always lacking in things to satiate my sweet tooth… Shannon more than solves this problem with her desserts (I pictured ones I’ve purchased). The peanut butter cheesecake was to die for! I also grabbed a couple single meals to test and the crusted chicken and broccoli mash was awesome! Prices are beyond reasonable and customer service is some of the best around! Excited to keep going back!

My husband and I have been keto for almost 7 years now and this way of eating has been amazing for us. We’ve been buying from LCK since they opened and have never been even the slightest bit disappointed in a single item we have purchased. In fact, so often we end up saying I cannot BELIEVE this is even low carb, let alone keto. But it is! as evidenced by my blood sugar numbers. We frequently purchase the meal plans so that we have breakfasts, lunches, and dinners ready on our workdays, and they have been so delicious and flavorful, but the desserts are truly phenomenal! There is a reason they sell out of the chocolate chip cookies basically every week and don’t even get me started on the eclair cake and the strawberry parfait and the butterscotch blondie and the strawberry parfait (plus TONS of others). And over these many years of being customers, we have found Shannon and staff to be just really good people. We live WAY far out west (Campton Hills area) and usually meet halfway for delivery, but we try to drive all the way in to the store one Sunday every month or two just to see all the treats available and try one we haven’t had before (the french silk pie bar might be my new favorite). They do meal prep at their location, meal pickups, and sales, but they are not a place to eat or congregate, so the storefront is full of shelves of ingredients and fridges and freezers to hold the orders waiting to be picked up, and available premade food. It’s not intended to be pretty, so 2 stars for that is not an insult. They keep it dark in the store for food safety reasons – to prevent the sun from warming up the place and also degrading the ingredients. As for value and selection, we have another keto meal place WAYYYY closer and their store is fancier, but they are double the price and the flavor and variety isn’t even remotely close. It is WELL worth the drive and/or $10 delivery fee to keep buying from LCK instead, so we absolutely will!

This place is a take-out food prep kitchen that provides loe carb or keto desserts and food. Meals need to be preordered but you can pick up desserts from the counter. I went and picked various desserts and I liked them all. You can order for a week from their website. Their sign doesn’t say Low Carb Kitchen but instead it says Dinner By Design therefore I had a little trouble recognizing. The owner was very kind! They have open kitchen and the inside is a little messed up but other than that there was nothing wrong.
