Standard bar food, and more. Pleasant atmosphere, great music on the radio (classic rock mix), kind, friendly staff and owner. Big dining area with many screens upon which to view sports and (Fox) news. Profound patriotic motif to the decor (and extending to the general atmosphere – or perhaps it’s the other way around)) so if that sort of thing makes you uncomfortable, you might want to go elsewhere. If you enjoy that (or can get passed it if not), the onion rings are out of this world, and beer battered. The mussels are fresh and good. Ample selection of homemade desserts, and interesting mixed drinks. Sizeable bar right in the middle of the place if you’re traveling solo or in a hurry. Overall positive experience.

Owner is a vet (I believe) has a couple of “I love me walls” where vets can post pictures of themselves in uniform. A lot of interesting pictures – you can see how the regs changed through the years.

Can’t speak to a typical dining experience, but we held my son’s graduation party at L’s last night (16 Jun) and had a horrible experience. Some of the staff was very rude and they provided very little food with no explanation why despite us asking repeatedly. For example, they provided one small bowl of potato salad for 30 people. Might be a good place to eat, but I will never go there for a party again.
