Love the pasta here. Definitely get the vodka sauce pasta as that was the best one. It looks small but they really pack in the pasta into the container. Recommend ordering online and heading there a few minutes early as they are fast in getting the pasta ready to go. Kim

Paid $12 for a special spicy sausage con vodka pasta. The pasta was delicious (not broken, so a little sloppy to eat). The celery could be cooked more (it was very cruncy). I prefer the efficiency and accessibility of this place over a sit down Italian restaurant.

It’s hand-made, fresh pasta in a cup! (He does pizza too but i haven’t tried). Quite literally a hole in a wall, it’s the best one-man show you’ll ever find. While it seems like you might wait a while, I got my pasta in about 1 minute. The ragú in the “bolo” pasta is absolutely divine. The portion sizes are bigger than they look – he really packs the pasta in there.

A cute little store that’s only a walk up and order place. Very little seating and it’s outside in a parking lot. As an employee I can attest to the poor food quality. They drop food on the floor and still use it. They keep produce next to a in use dish pit, even put produce on the same table as said dishes. If you don’t mind a little dirt or someone else’s food gunk on your dinner then this is the place to order

Food gets a 5 for taste, value and ingenuity. Yum and fresh. Picture is spaghetti with shaved zucchini, pesto, mint and tomatoes. We also enjoyed the papardelle with pork ragu.

Mai Tran (Kimmai)
A brightly lit, literal hole-in-the-wall for the BEST takeaway home-made pasta you will probably ever find. It’s really hard to find a decent al dente-cooked pasta made so well in the states, and this little spot will surprise you with its quality and flavor. Complimenti to the chef who never sits down, and buon appetito!

The best pasta I’ve ever had, i had the fettuccine, the flavour is so right, fragrant, and delicious, the noodles are wide and beautifully cooked, the sauce is so creamy and delicious, and the meatballs were huge, for the price it’s unbeatable. It should be a must try place for everyone that comes to cville. I’d come back just for this pasta

Absolutely delicious. The pasta was so fresh. It soaked up some of the sauce so when taking a bite, it would be complete. I had the Bolo dish, which was phenomenal. It was especially tasty and heartwarming during our visit on a cold winter day in February. My wife had the popular Cacio e Pepe entree and it was just as fantastic. The legitimate “hole in the wall” restaurant is an amazing homage to the phrase as it serves 5-star quality Italian pasta dishes right from a corner of a building, under a single streetlight. It is ONLY takeout, so when you are eating, you can walk around the rest of downtown, while enjoying the fresh air with your pasta. I will recommend this to anyone who decides to venture to Charlottesville from now on!

I just got takeout from Luce this evening. It was disappointing – minimal vegetables in the primavera pasta, too oily, and not a good value for the price. I was excited to try Luce, but I will not be coming back.

This is a magnificent hole in the wall pasta place, literally! It’s take out/outdoor seating only, and all the pastas are served in cardboard containers, so it’s feels very comfortable and casual.
