Passing through town looking for a bite to eat. Nice place. Midday visit so almost empty. However, the bartender/manager was solo at the bar, and she kept disappearing for 10+ minutes at a time. The few bar customers were sitting around with empty drinks. Someone walked in, sat at the bar for 14 minutes and never got served. No bartender. The restaurant side hostess just sat on her butt playing on her phone. When the manager finally returned, we told her someone waited, then left. She said oh well, they should be more patient. Wings were good, service nonexistent. Bye bye.

The popcorn was a really nice touch. The service was pretty amazing. I got the pizza and although it wasn’t cooked all the way and the crust was doughy, I liked it that way so it was good. The burgers were very dry and didn’t have much flavor. The cheese curds were supposed to come out before the meal, but they were forgotten. When they finally arrived at the table, they were over cooked and were not good. They removed them from the bill which was nice and acceptable. Overall it wasn’t the best, but it wasn’t the worst experience either.

Unbelievable….I ordered onion rings with my burger and literally got only 4 less than appetizing burnt shards of onion in a batter, even the cheese curds were burnt. It’s been several weeks since I last came here to eat and we decided to give them another chance but once again, total and complete disappointment. I WILL definitely think twice before spending my hard earned money at Lucky 13 in Spearfish.

Unbelievable service and hospitality. Excellent food, the best experience and overall atmosphere. I will definitely be staying here in the future. 10 out of 10 to the manager and whole crew they were so amazing and the entire crew was amazing. Never change a thing and keep doing what you’re doing.

Food was not good. I have eaten at the Lucky’s 13 in Minnesota and the food is always top notch. Not sure what they’re doing different at this location but it’s not good.

The hostess couldn’t be bothered to look at us when we came in and just kept wrapping silverware at the hostess station. Eventually she sat us without saying a word. The food took a long time to come. It was average quality. Then half of our ticket was incorrect. I watched three groups of people come in and after being confused, seat themselves. It was a waste of my time and money to eat here.

I got the lucky 13 burger and it was really good, the peppers they put were the only time I actually ate peppers, their fries are really crispy and are really good, the ketchup I’m assuming they made themselves is sweet and tangy, solid place if you want dinner.

Monday June 26th. The kitchen was backed up with 4 tables on the bar side and our table of four on the restaurant side (before Monday night burger rush hit). The person that ordered well done mushroom swiss received a pink burger while the person that ordered a medium mushroom swiss received a medium well burger. The greatest atrocity was the questionable-if-it-was-even 12 oz ribeye prior to cooking that was supposed to be medium rare came with a reminiscence of what may have been pink at one time in the very center. $36 dollars for an underweight, overcooked and flavorless cut of meat. The overwhelmed staff couldn’t be reached so I suffered through most of it. Our server was very good, but whoever does the scheduling should have had some backup as mega groups arrived. To recap, train the grill person and learn to staff especially if “Burger Night” is always slammed. The gentleman that served our table was excellent.
