Great food at a great price. Lucky is the best… he takes pride in his work and it shows. Last time I was here, there was a sign on the door saying they no longer serve donuts, so there’s that, however, I never visited with the intention to buy a donut so no biggy as far as I’m concerned. So far I’ve enjoyed the governor’s chicken, shrimp pad Thai, and beef and broccoli, all of which are excellent!

I’ll be honest, I’ve been wanting to go here for a long time. The picture look delicious and the reviews are good. I finally go and I get the bourbon chicken to try something a little safe before I try some of the other ones. The chicken was extremely dry looking and smelled really really bad. Like, we did not even try it and threw it away because I was absolutely sure the chicken was spoiled.

I’ve had doughnuts there in the past, good but not the best I’ve had. Until yesterday I had never ordered food from their menu so my family decided to try it out for dinner. I sampled pork Pad Thai, tofu Pad Thai, spring rolls, and orange chicken. All were excellent and among the best I’ve ever had. It was also very fresh tasting. You can tell they care a lot about the quality of their food. I noticed lots of people coming in and out of the door. This place has gained a lot of popularity among locals and for good reason!

When you’re up in South Bend for a Notre Dame game make sure you stop by Lucky’s. They have some excellent Thai food for a very reasonable price. From what I’m hearing if the Grandmother is there cooking you will be in for a treat as she is one of the best cooks there not saying that there aren’t any other great cooks, and after today’s experience I’ve had I have nothing bad to say about them what so ever and will be a returning customer when I’m up there.
