I was with eight people and I was impressed that most of us were asked politely and separately, if we were together. Different servers each tried to help us more than once. Besides the great pizzas and wings all being delicious, it’s nice to walk into a pizza place and smell actual baking going on. Clean restrooms topped off my first visit and it won’t be my last.

First time trying Lucky’s Pizza (after hearing/reading other reviews. The pizza was delicious! The antipasto salad was alright..i just didn’t like how big the cheese and meat slices were. The canoli was good as well.

I’m a Chicago pizza fan, Lucky’s is not. So I’m not a fan of this place but the ingredients were good, the crust was okay. the sauce needs brightness. The veggie pizza was supposed to come with extra cheese, but there was no sign of it. Good food, but not our style.

When we moved to Surprise, AZ, we were worried we wouldn’t find a worthy high-quality NY style Pizzeria. Look no further! This is the best quality NY style pizza you are going to get in Surprise! Our first purchase we bought 8 pies for takeout for a birthday party. Everything was perfect and ready to go for our pickup time. We called ahead, gave them 24 hrs notice. Everyone at the party was asking us, “Where did you get this pizza?” Lucky’s!

*UPDATE – SEE BELOW* Very good Italian food, big portions, and great customer service. Food was delicious!! It was exactly what I was looking for and better than most of the big chain restaurants. *price above is per person* UPDATE – just came back for my second visit and I am IN LOVE with this place. Got spaghetti with meatballs this time. So good. Plus, I had a long, rough day at work and the Chef was very friendly and pleasant to me. Will definitely be a Regular at this place!!

I wanted to like this pizza but sadly I did not and everyone else who ate it agreed. We ordered 2 large 1 toppings for $30, 1 sausage, 1 pepperoni. The sausage tasted weird and looked like shaved meat. The pepperoni was very greasy. The cheese had almost a ricotta texture (see picture) which was odd. I think for the price, the taste and quality is lacking.

The pizza was delicious but it was very funny and awkward when I asked for my pizza without red sauce. Being true Italian men from NYC like they are, they got offended and gave me a soliloquy about how the sauce is apart of the pie and it would be weird without it. Which I totally understand but my stomach is not friendly to tomato products. So after asking for an olive oil based sauce, the granted my wish and the pizza was amazing. Still funny how we had that weird debate about pizza sauce
