Wow! What an amazing meal my family and I had here! And the service is absolutely top notch. I was welcomed and treated like family the moment I stepped foot in the door. You just don’t find that anymore these days. Such a pleasant dining experience with delicious entrees and the portions are huge. Everyone at the table had leftovers to bring home. If you want quality Italian food and superb service, look no further!

We love everything about Luigi’s of Danbury! Simon, Tony, Freddy and the rest of the crew are always so welcoming. We especially love their pizzas! The slices are huge and tasty. The Buffalo chicken, chicken bacon ranch, and chicken Marsala have been BIG hits with our family. We can’t wait to dine-in (their renovations look stunning) and try more items from their menu! Give Luigi’s of Danbury a try and you won’t be disappointed!!

We stopped in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. Service was amazing and the food was delicious. Clearly they pay attention to details we had chicken parmigiana and it was amazing, probably the best I’ve had in a long time. Don’t forget to finish up with dessert the mommas cake was amazing. We will definitely go back.

We visited on a Saturday evening at 5, and the place was empty for that time of day. We started with the caprese salad, which turned out to be a few pieces of mediocre mozzarella, a few tomato slices, eggplant and roasted peppers, all draped over a pile of iceberg lettuce. No balsamic glaze, but a low grade dressing which looked (and tasted) like store brand Italian dressing with a touch of balsamic vinegar. More lettuce than anything else. We ordered a personal pizza with bacon and onions. It arrived with no sign of char, and only a few spots where the crust was even browned. Perhaps “tanned” would be a better description. Not a thin crust, and despite having small (short) slices, we could not pick up a slice and eat it, so we had to resort to knives and forks. Two glasses of wine were poured from a $9 bottle, but cost $12 each. (The label on the bottle was clearly visible). We dis not try them, but behind the pizza counter were the restaurant’s version of a garlic knot. They were not at all appetizing, as they were the size of muffins, and none of them were baked enough to promise any of the necessary crust. We tried this restaurant after hearing good things about the sister restaurant in Carmel. Perhaps the owner who, strangely, was our host, waiter, bartender, and busboy, has overextended himself. Too bad.

Best pizza in all the land! We have it at least once a week in our house. The staff is fantastic and make you feel like they know you and care. Highly recommend the pizza! I’ve tried a few other dishes and all are good but the pizza is the best there is!

Alas, Sinapi’s it is not. While the renovation is beautiful- everything else that was once lovely about Sinapi’s is gone with the takeover. The service was slow and inconsistent. Things were frequently not brought until the second or third ask. The food was wildly salty- they certainly know where their salt shaker is! They mixed up our orders which lead to me putting red pepper on a dish that wasn’t mine. They ration the cheese like they have a single Kraft Parmesan container for the whole week. Myself and the person I was with agreed it was the kind of place we were actually relieved to leave. The women’s toilet didn’t even flush. Back to the search for family Italian I guess. It’s such a shame.

The food was ok, it tasted like something you would reheat from the supermarket. They messed up what pasta I ordered, and they took advantage of my wife when she ordered to increase our bill to almost 100 dollars

Long time Sinappi’s go-er. Sad to see this is what has taken its place. Twice the price for half the food, and it is just not good. Tried Clams w/red sauce, not many clams or sauce, Very disappointed. Also had a Pizza w/works, Doughy and undercooked would be my best description. I won’t be back.
