We went as a party of 14. Upon entering I found the atmosphere to be casual. We were promptly seated. The Service was good. But the food, the food was outstanding. Our party sample, perhaps, the entire menu and everyone raved about their meals. I I recommend you give them a try if you’re looking for good Italian food in a casual setting. It is a BYOB so grab your favorite bottle and give them a try.

Great food and service. Owner chef walks around and greats people. Nice room and atmosphere. Crab meat stuffed mushrooms and crab cake appetizers were fantastic. My Chilean seabass wrapped in potato sheet with cream sauce was perfect. My wife said her flounder franchese was the best she ever had. The cappuccino was great and the NY cheesecake and raspberry cheesecake to die for. Child loved her pastas and garlic bread. We will be back.

My sons came for 4 days from DC and Paris to celebrate my 75th birthday. Mostly we went to restaurants, music venues, theatre in the city (Manhattan). On their last night I wanted to treat THEM, since they had been picking up the tab. I had not been to Lukas since they moved from RP. That last evening and last meal at Lukas was the highlight of my birthday!! Suffice it to say that NONE of the places where we ate in NYC (all very highend and pricey) can hold a candle to Lukas. The quality of the food and the innovative preparation are outstanding. My ultra sophistical sons agreed. The servers (and Luka, himself) were all amazingly cordial. It’s true that the “atmosphere” is low key – WHAT A RELIEF! Thanks to all.

Went here for lunch special with a groupon. Beautiful decor with very pleasant staff. Salad or soup is served with all entree. Had the breaded artichoke and mussless for apps. Ordered seveeal entrees so we can have some food to go. Pumpkin ravioli, salmon steak and shrimp pasta were all delicious and we’ll presented. Will definitely try dessert next time .

The food was very good and what I love the most was how attentive the staff was. Checked in on us multiple times , offered suggestions on meals and even gave my child a candy on the way out. I will definitely be going again.

Went to Luka’s last weekend and the food was very good. However, the service was bad. We waited over an hour for our food and our waiter responded rudely to one of my friends when being told he had forgotten his side dish. Also, at no point did the waiter apologize for the long wait. It was also hard to get the servers attention. The food is always great but I am just surprised at the poor service and rude staff member.
