Had an enjoyable experience at Lulu the other night with friends. We had a reservation for 8 pm, and despite being directed to arrive on time, we still had to wait a significant amount of time for water to be delivered and subsequently to have our orders taken. I didn’t think it was a particularly busy night so I was surprised when no one came to check on us until the end of our meal to bring the check.

The restaurant is located in a fabulous place, right by the canal. The spicy margarita is 10/10, high recommend. Chips and guac is nice and fresh. The main course though, a little sub par. It’s not that good. The menu is very limited with just non traditional mexican cuisine like fried chicken sandwich. 8/10

Enjoyed a lovely summer evening yesterday night with a group of friends at the outdoor patio overlooking the canal. This is a quaint spot that has fresh food, and good drinks. If you are looking for the perfect spot to go on date night, or just an excuse to get out during the week I highly recommend this place. It was my first time, and as a visitor from out of the area I couldn’t have been more impressed with what Fairport had to offer. Everything our group had was excellent, and the service was very good as well. I would happily come back, and look forward to the opportunity.

It’s a lovely setting by the canal and the outdoor seating area is nicely decorated. We were disappointed with the overall experience, however. It began when they had only four menus for our party of six, and explained they had run out of menus. That became a theme. They were out of the beer I ordered. Then when we tried to order one of the specials, they were out of that too. Then after we ordered, the waitress came back to tell us they were out of chicken, so we had to change a couple of our orders. In general, our waitress was completely uninterested in how things were going. Even though our food took well over an hour she never really checked in to update us, and others delivered it. When it finally came, some of it was cold and while not bad, not super flavorful either. In general the experience was meh, and we wouldn’t go back again. (I did think the prices were reasonable and the chips were pretty good.)

This is a lovely restaurant on the canal. Although the setting is beautiful, we had a poor experience in terms of service. We had a reservation on a Saturday evening. They were out of 3 different things we ordered (one was a type of beer, one was the street corn special, and the last was shredded chicken as a meat option for most of the meals). Our disengaged server just shrugged and said, “unlucky, I guess.” Our food came out after nearly an hour and some dinners were hot and and others cool in spots.

I’ve been here a handful of times. Food and drinks are good, but service is always so so. Not sure what was going around last night but waited 20 minutes for a drink. Spoke with 2 waitresses who were too busy to help and then the owner came over and was very rude. This really made a negative impact and I won’t be going again. Sorry!
