The wife and I stopped here on a recommendation from the motel down the road. We both ordered the Ms. Lumberjack Burger, which was VERY good! Fresh lettuce and tomatoes on it as well as two kinds of cheeses and ham and bacon! The wife ordered cheese sticks, and I had fries. The fries were super because they were very crispy on the outside, just the way I like them. The cheese sticks were pretty run-of-the-mill but cooked perfectly. Better than the food though, was the conversation with the owners. Very friendly people. She gave us some good tips about how to keep the bugs down in the U.P. (we happen to be camping that week) as well as other advice. It was not only great food but and educational experience us! We will defiantly be back next time we’re in the U.P.

Mary and Rex are amazing! They go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and at home. The food is great. Mary keeps the place cleaner than my own home and Rex always has a great conversation to keep us engaged. We stop in whenever we can throughout the year and have never been disappointed!!

After reading the reviews, we were expecting to have our heads bitten off as soon as we walked in the door. It was quite the opposite though. We were warmly greeted and felt very welcome. I think if Mary was ever rude, she was probably acting accordingly based on the situation. If you are polite and have respect for her business, and just act like a decent human being, she is the nicest person. All of the food we ordered was really good. They also have ice cream, and at 2 bucks for a scoop that is a heck of a deal! I definitely recommend stopping in if you’re in the area. We had a very enjoyable experience and will definitely be back.

Won’t return. Tried to hard to be nice and turn things around after telling us that our service dog was not able to come in the establishment. They blamed it on the health department. This waitress also took covid to a new level for me. As for the food, I really wasn’t impressed.

Didn’t even make it out of my truck before owner came out yelling profanity at me for my parking. My father wife and children were easily convinced to go to the next place. Sorry again sir… don’t worry I will NEVER park there again. OFF my family’s dining options.
