Worth the scenic drive! We were just passing through on our road trip from Oregon to Tennessee and wanted to enjoy a taste of Kentucky. Lumpy’s pulled pork, ribs, Burgoo and sauce were all delicious! Highly recommended

Scenic farmland drive was worth the trip. Greated by friendly polite hospitable staff. Food was delicious and there was lots on the plate. Enjoyed drinking my sweet tea while looking out the window at all the greenery. Definitely going back to try all the menu items.

This was such a fun stop for my son, hubs and me as we traveled between Charleston, SC and St. Louis. Along our travels we stopped at AirBNBs, picnic’ed at local parks and enjoyed a few local dineries. My son found Lumpy’s via Google and we were absolutely delighted with it! Lumpy’s has a rather small front dining area (there are picnic table outside as well), but this made it that much easier to mix with all the locals as they popped in for food. Sooo many folks picked up food-to-go from their pickup trucks at the drive-thru window. The food is cooked by Lisa and her son Lumpy – Lisa used to cook at the local school until she retired and soon afterwards they started up this excellent establishment – I can only imagine how happy they make the country folk that live around there! The ONLY days they serve BBQ is on Friday and Saturday – and it is EXCELLENT! The chicken was soo delicious! And the pulled pork was amazing!! They offered a mild, hot and a “Katie” sauce (our favorite)! Autumn was the sweetheart behind the counter and was such a lovely person to talk with! One local came in to pick up some food and ended up talking with us about the area – before he left he even offered us free tickets to his church’s BBQ dinner for that night! My son grabbed a Gooey cheesecake/brownie that we shared for dessert – it was SOOOOO tasty that we ended up buying out their remaining brownies to enjoy later and share with family! By the time we left, even the “guard” dog outside had takin’ a liking to us! This is what makes America’s countryside so fun to experience. You’ll never receive this much fun, love and good food at a Denny’s!!

Awesome BBQ only on Fridays and Sundays. Their burgers are some good stuff as well throughout the rest of the week. You will not be disappointed with their food or their house made sauces.
