The service that we received was good considering. I felt bad for the waitress as she was trying her best. It was her alone managing all of the tables. The food was decent but did take, what felt like a very long time to come out. The plating of the food was very modern. The salsa was 4/5. I ate three tacos, the el pastor being the best 4/5. The asada was good 3/5. The shredded chicken felt dry, not sure if it was breast meat or thigh meat, but i prefer thigh meat. Id give it a 1/5.

Had a craving for Mexican food and wanted something new and this place had great reviews. Unfortunately that was not our experience. Ordered take out and I had the pollo con creama, (our girls had chicken quesadillas pictures below) the food was hot but did not come with complimentary chips and salsa like most places. Most importantly my dish which I regular order at several other local Mexican restaurants was not very good. It was chicken that was seasoned and tasted more like pork or sausage in a swimming pool of thick, rich queso, the rice was ok but the beans tasted like baked beans from a can with the sweet tang. Even the flour tortillas couldn’t cut through the intense cheese flavor. At least we can say we tried it and mark it off our list.

I was sad when I recently found out La Unica had closed because we really liked their food. Lupitas has opened in the same location and we decided to give them a try. Both the service and food is OUTSTANDING. I ordered beef enchiladas thinking they would come with the typical ground beef but these had CHUNKS of flavourful beef inside. YUM! Also they make their own corn tortillas!

This is bitter sweet because I feel like every time I review a great restaurant, I hardly can get back in to eat! …but that’s what Lupita’s is, an absolutely great restaurant. The place is a little empty looking upon arrival as they just have opened but it’s clean! The food though is incredible and authentic. The mole is rich a chocolatey flavored, like it should be. The spices are mild but spot on, the produce is fresh and everything was beautifully prepared. I had the chimichanga (it’s my rating meal for a New Mexican restaurant) and my word!! It was huge!! Not only huge, it was beautifully fried just lightly, and the steak inside was tender and flavorful. A must try and hopefully we will be able to make it back!!

The food isn’t bad, it’s the service, We have just came back from vacation and were craving some Mexican food especially since we didn’t have much back at home since we were gone for a week. We ordered fajitas for two, 2 tacos and chips with cheese dip.Only problem was there’s was no tortillas for the fajitas and no chips for the cheese dip… I mean how can you forget the chips, for chips and cheese dip. it’s just so disappointing. We did make a mistake to not make sure we had received all of our food but when we called back to let them know there was no solution, Not even a sincere apology, it sounded forced.
