It’s been around a while but I don’t think it’s the food that keeps ’em comin’ back. The pic is “crab cakes” that were clearly frozen…burned on the outside and cold on the inside. I suspect that the popularity is more likely the generous pours and cheap prices. Nice outdoor seating with a great view of Lake Pentenwell.

We met 2 other couples there for lunch today. Our waitress, who we found out was new, did a fantastic job!! Turned out we were her very first customers and I must say, she will be a huge asset to The Lure!!! A smiling face a great personality!! All 6 of us enjoyed our food!! She came back often to check if we needed anything. A great day seeing old friends and enjoying good food in such a beautiful setting!

Have had the food before, it’s solid and you get a good amount. The problem is with the drinks, and it’s a bar so you should for sure have a good drink service… Wouldn’t recommend anyone tap or mixed drinks because the glasses they give you are small or plastic for tall mixes. Came tonight, 7/22/23 and the bartender lady (not Tiffany) was bad with our shots (only had 2 glasses and had to use 4 plastic cups because she didn’t want to clean more). Hope you sell it soon Tom so it gets better because it’s sad and has so much potential.

I have been going to the lure for years now and I love it because along with the food tasting great the service is a 11/10!! Sweetest people you will ever meet! And the view is just so pretty when the sun is setting. Some of the other comments I read are just hard to believe and I’m sure they were just in a mood because the lure is so popular you have to wait just a little bit. Because I know these sweet angels are doing their best. Anyways I LOVED the people there and always come back for the food!!

I left a 2 star review a couple years ago and now I remember why. You’re better off driving to Adams, or Wisconsin Rapids for food. You actually would get food quicker wherever you go. We weren’t there for the dinner rush, but still took over an hour for a burger, and a sandwich. Food was mediocre at best. And was better off bringing my own drinks in. We were never checked up on to see if we needed another drink.

Beautiful place, beautiful views. Terrible food and service. We waited 45 minutes to put in our order because the person who we were told was our server got us drinks and never came back. When we finally put in the food order we waited another 45 mins, our appetizers and food came out at the same time and appetizers were cold. Then our server was no where to be found as we sat there with no silverware. To top it off, the cold food was mediocre at best. The server never brought our bill, we had to go ask for it at the bar. People at tables next to us were leaving. I will say I’d been here once before a couple of years ago and it was fantastic, I’m not sure what happened.

The Lure has disappointed our party of 4 in every aspect of their “service”. Saturday, 7/8 we were there to enjoy the beautiful location, a drink and dinner. We were told we could not eat at the bar but to grab a table inside or outside. We chose inside and “No Thanks” was our waitress (“No Thanks” was the name she gave me when I asked for the bill). She asked if it would be one bill or two; we said 2. It took 45 minutes to get the 1st order & she offered no reason why it took so long. After another 20 minutes, I asked about our food order and she said the sequence of our order was changed but it would be next. After another 20 minutes, I walked over to where she was standing and asked if there was an owner or manager I could speak to. Response was “no” there was not an owner or manager there. I stated “there is no one in charge here?” and she said yes. She said she would check on our order and be right back. She took our food from the kitchen to our table and never talked to me. She never asked any of is how food was – 3 or the 4 meals were bad. When I saw her by the cash register, I went over and asked for our bill. Also stated that I assumed 2 of the meals would be free. They were. She asked that I go back to the table and she would bring us the bill. I said no. We have been ignored long enough. I will wait for the bill. When my friends saw that she was constantly smirking and rolling her eyes at me, they came over to see what was going on. We paid for 2 of the meals and left. This experience was not acceptable and, if this was my employee, she would be reminded of what “customer service” means unless this is acceptable in the absence of having anyone in charge. We will not be back.

It’s obvious the owner of this restaurant does not care about good customer service. This was my first time here, and we waited over 40 minutes for cheese curds. That never arrived. I’ll never be back until it’s under another ownership. I’m not sure how they manage to stay in business. Please don’t go here unless you want a limited menu to burgers and appetizers, and they can’t get that right, and you have hours to wait for your food.

Was here recently. Sat outside because they were pretty busy. No big deal. Just wanted an app or two and a couple drinks. Got our bloody Mary and beer 5 minutes after ordering. We waited a half hour and moved inside as it was hot and numerous tables opened up. I let them know. We waited another 10 minutes for our food for a total of 40 minutes. Nothing. We already finished our drinks as well. Nobody checked in or said anything about it taking so long, or even asked if we wanted another drink. Just picked up and left. I feel like we should not have to say anything. Been here before, but if this is how it is during the summer I’m not to sure I’ll be back. It looked like another group just walked out also.

Food Has gone down hill since the new owner has taken over…. Place needs more management they can’t figure out how to serve anyone when it’s busy at all.. 1-2 hour waits on food that comes out not good is uncalled for the place down the street has no problem cranking out food all day. The old owner Tom took care of this place & made sure the food was good. But good drinks & friendly people. Needs a Tv wall for sports… theres like 1 tv and it’s from 2001. They also just raised the food prices $22 for blue gill dinner should be no more that $12.99.???
