Take out order. I ordered the family catfish dinner with double fried okra and two large orders of greens. We also got slices of lemon sunshine, strawberry mousse and chocolate turtle cakes. EVERYTHING is delicious! The fish is cooked to order. They were playing 70s/80s soul music. Restaurant is clean and has comfy waiting space.

Second time patronizing this place and the food is delicious. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is pleasing. Nothing like the action of a Soul Food kitchen with some Blues in the background. Reminded me of being back home in the Chi.

I ordered a 4 piece catfish w/two sides dinner. The catfish was slightly overcooked, but tasty. However, everything else lacked. The macaroni and cheese was bland and soupy. The greens were spicy for no good reason. I wanted to like this place because I heard good things about it, but I was sorely disappointed. I will not be returning.

The catfish was tasty. Everything was cooked as we waited. Fried okra was the best I’ve had In a long time. Everything was freshly cooked. Not a bad place to grab some fish. They were out of chicken wings.

Sides are garbage! Green beans to spicy, mushrooms overcooked, okra no seasoning and Mac n cheese was below average. Shrimp overcooked, basa no seasoning and smoked wings average but no color. I would not recommend the food but service was pleasant.

This was my THIRD visit. My second one wasn’t so…well. But this visit, earned 5 stars. I came for tilapia. I left with whiting, shrimp, and the tilapia. The food was right on with flavor and seasoning. I also took a sample of the smoked chicken. You can definitely taste the intended flavor in them! I drove an hour to get here. Today was worth the trip!

We are a family that was born, raised and cornbread fed from the south! Reading the reviews I was very excited about trying this place out. We ordered the fried catfish plate with fries and slaw. Now, the food was fresh and hot which is a plus! The fish had no seasoning which means NO TASTE! The fries and slaw were good but you can’t really go wrong with those two.
