This place is like taking a step back a few decades, in a lovely way. Lydia’s reminds me of supper clubs from the Midwest. Absolutely steeped in tradition, Lydia’s is truly an experience. Reservations are recommended. Each entree comes with various accoutrements. Salads come first, then huge plates of pasta and ravioli and fries. A scoop of ice cream rounds out the experience. On the most recent visit, we also got a blooming onion. Most of the food is good, some of it is great. The steak I got was okay but nothing special. It’s more about the experience here.

First time going here since we’ve lived in butte, the service was awesome, the amount of food that you get is great. Alittle on the pricey side. Me and my husband both had steak, the steak was AWESOME. The rest comes with raviolis, spaghetti, french fries, a salad, sweet potato salad, and at the end ice cream. So you definitely shouldn’t leave hungry.

It was an awesome experience. Salad is waiting for you at the table. The servers were very helpful and attentive. The food was amazing. Steak was cooked to perfection. You also get a plate of spaghetti, fries and some ravioli with your meal. Then a small bowl of ice cream at the end.

Went in on a Thursday night, expecting a clown show based on some of the reviews others have posted. This place did not disappoint. Maybe I have been working in Montana too long, but I am from a food town, big city. I am well-traveled and familiar with the foodservice industry. I am a demanding and highly critical patron who often laughs at what qualifies as a decent restaurant in rural areas. Regardless, I found nothing wrong with this establishment. It was clean, well-decorated, and classy. The music selection was superb. Steaks and seafood well-prepared, to the liking of my Montana-bred counterparts. Limited menu? I would agree it could benefit from less of fries and more baked potatoes, as others have mentioned. More bread and fewer crackers, yes. But I didn’t miss that one bit… this spot feels great because it is unique, quirky, and properly managed from my viewpoint.

Service was slower than normal but we were with a large group. Other than that, it was phenomenal per usual.

We love Lydia’s and they never disappoint. We have taken babies and toddlers each time and they are so accommodating. Best Halibut we have had! We could just eat the spaghetti and raviolis. ❤️❤️

The entrées are delicious! The appetizers are lovely. The seafood was fresh, which is impressive considering its Montana. The servers were very helpful with my food allergy. My only issue is the food included as sides is not that good. So while you definitely won’t leave hungry there is some room for improvement there

Quite an experience around 7.00 pm. Great people watching, and fantastic but slightly overwhelming dinner. Staff really friendly and helpful. The bar is great, with a little memorial to Anthony Bourdain, but they need to bone up on how to make a decent Old Fashioned.

It was so bad it was funny. No host, had to steal menu off another table. Waitress brought out sad salads before taking an order or greeting. They give you a sweet potato spread that is pretty much dog food. Waited an hour for entrees and gave up. Left some cash on the table and walked out. No one cared.

Most overrated restaurant in town. Menu isn’t great, food is just ok with how much it cost. Above all else the service was awful, we were treated pretty badly just for asking simple questions. Will never go back.
