The food is decent. The prices are high. The restaurant is dirty, tables and chairs dirty and not wiped down in between customers, food crumbs all over the place. The young girl who was our cashier was WAY TOO obsessed with her personal phone. How about wiping tables and chairs, sweep..get off your phone!!

This little place is awesome! When I learned they had a chicken patty smash burger I had to check it out. It was amazing! My friend had the Lemon Pepper Chicken sando that was on special. He also very much enjoyed his meal. 100% will be stopping in next time I’m in town.

Was in the Ypsilanti area early this week and tried ma lous on recommendations from friends. I was not disappointed. I tried the OG, collard greens, fries, and banana pudding. My mother had the Parm, sweet potato fries and the pudding. Sandwiches were fantastic, greens were delicious and had just enough spice and bits of bacon. Fries and pudding were very good as well. Service was outstanding, we dined and and the cashier brought us our food and was very attentive and kind. Food came out in roughly 15 minutes and was freshly prepared and hot, seasoned very well. I will be back next time I’m in the area and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great southern style chicken sandwich.

Pulled up to Ma Lou’s for some dinner and taste for a chicken sandwich and of course they did not disappoint. I like to get the OG with cheddar cheese only and medium spice(I like to add splash or two of Mike’s Hot honey) Slaw on the side. It was fried and seasoned to perfection and satisfied my craving. To be honest I could eat the sandwich without the bun. I love the fact that Ma Lou’s gives you a whole boneless breast. If you have never been it’s definitely a place to try if you like Nashville Hot chicken. (lemon pepper wings are really good too ) I will definitely repeat.

This was pretty good. The waffles were very thick, and I’m not sure what they were made of, but they weren’t the regular waffles I’m used to. They were good, just different and very, very filling. The chicken was seasoned well, too. But, the smash sandwich, now that was awesome.
