The owner, Heena, is one of the main reasons I will absolutely always come back to this place. The energy and vibe she brings is so positive and great. The Mango Lassi was phenomenal, super organic and delicious. I had the Chole Masala (chickpeas) lunch special and it was sooo delicious, being a primary meat eater I did not miss animal protein in this dish, the spices are very prominent and being appreciative of spices I for sure loved it! The air fried parantha is wonderfully flaky, almost like a croissant. For sure coming back.

The food is delicious!! And Henna (the owner) is the sweetest, humblest person I’ve met. She starts talking to you about the food and it instantly feels like you’ve made a new friend. I took my best friend yesterday, because he’d never had Indian food before. He loved it!! Tried several things and enjoyed each and every one!!

Literally the best food I’ve ever eaten in my life. It’s so fresh and flavorful and obviously made with love by Henna who is an absolute GEM. I’m so grateful to have a taste of Indian culture because I am NOW obsessed with the food thanks to Maaji’s. If you’re in the STL area and you like food – GO, NOW. Once you eat there and you leave, you won’t stop thinking about the food and how DELICIOUS IT IS. I literally crave it every day and could probably eat it every day because it’s that good. We stopped here on our drive from Dallas to Chicago . We were craving Fresh Indian food and this place has it all. The food was fresh, super tasty and they have a well curated menu. Heena , is a very warm and welcoming person. We really had a satisfying and scrumptious meal here. You can also enjoy a game of carrom board,while waiting, which is a plus.

I have been here twice now. Each time I’m met by Heena who is the sweetest person in town! I love getting her food, I ordered ahead for my first time and I learned you can simply go in and order and she makes your delicious plate right then and there. The first visit she kindly taught me how to eat the curries with the bread and chutney, and this time things took a little longer than expected, but nothing crazy, and she gifted me a free mango lassi! Absolutely amazing, I will be back again and will keep spreading the word about her business ❤ the picture is a chicken curry bowl! It is topped with chutney and salad, so fresh!

El Guanaco
Owner and chef Heena is an amazing woman. Her boundless enthusiasm for life is immediately obvious and her cooking superb. All of her dishes are full of flavor without the use of heavy sources of fat, so not only delicious but healthful. And if you like a little spicy kick in your food some of the dishes will scratch that itch too. I have enjoyed everything I’ve tried. The only downside is the location. Her storefront is hard to see, so it’s easy to drive by without seeing it. If it’s your first time, look at a map before you go or use your GPS. A small price to pay for wonderful food and hospitality.
