Visiting from DC, we loved brunch at this tiny BYOB spot – we lucked out with it being a block from our apartment, so seeing an outdoor spot free (they have a couple tables on the small side street, each with an umbrella for shade) meant one of us could snag a spot with the dog and the other could run back to grab the wine! Portions were filling and prices reasonable, and the service was friendly and attentive (and they brought a bowl of water for our dog right away). I loved the hot brown (hadn’t had one in years but this was a particularly good rendition), and my partner enjoyed the pork katsu breakfast sandwich. Great iced coffee. Excellent salad dressing on the simple arugula side salads. Would love to return for dinner. We didn’t have reservations but went right around opening time, and it seemed to fill up quickly on a Saturday mid-day – so we’d reserve next time now that we know what a gem it is!

Smaller menu but everything we had was delicious. Started with the macaroni and cheese as well as the beet salad. Portions were perfect, especially for the prices which were reasonable for a BYOB in this neighborhood. My wife’s burger was excellent and my fried chicken and waffles was unique in a great way. Flaky and crispy skin and I asked for more of the hot sauce. I usually find the waffles to be a side act in chicken and waffles, but these were light and airy, a perfect compliment. Outdoor section was tucked away in a quaint side street which made for a lovely atmosphere, even with our rambunctious 18 month old making her presence very well known!

This is very quickly becoming one of our favorite spots. We loved the brunch so much we came back for dinner the same week, and left super impressed!

Came here with friends after a successful Wednesday Sips. Atmosphere is great, menu is well balanced. We had three appetizers and four different entrees, as well one of each dessert. My favorites were the Brussels sprouts, shrimp and grits, and the banana pudding. Portions are good sizes, every dish was cooked well. Will definitely be coming back to try the brunch!

My husband and I went to Mabu for brunch and it was delicious! We both got fresh squeezed orange juice; it is BYOB and I was kicking myself for not bringing some champagne to make mimosas! I ordered the churro waffle with Nutella sauce and it was amazing. It is on the smaller side which is perfect because I wasn’t hungry for a huge meal. My husband ordered the chicken and waffle Benedict and WOW it was incredible! The fried chicken was perfectly cooked, I’m ordering it next time! He also loved the fresh spring side salad.

The atmosphere is super cute and relaxed. It’s a tiny spot, but feels comfy when it’s not super packed. The food is delicious and the portions are on the smaller side. The freshly squeezed orange juice was the best I’ve ever had! We will be back for brunch.

Oh my goodness…..atmosphere, attention to detail, unique. Shrimp and grits best I’ve ever had. The banana pudding next level, creamy, rich and decadent. A fantastic place with an amazing staff. A great place for an intimate dining experience.

Amazing food, awesome atmosphere, great location. Others have mentioned issues with service, and I think that is an issue. I’ve worked in restaurants with staffing issues before and it can be tough to get out of: a couple people quit, the existing servers end up working too much and getting tipped less because of service issues, they quit, and suddenly you’re stuck with a high turnover rate.

Brunch was very tasty and the atmosphere is so picturesque and cozy. It was hard to choose from the menu – everything looked so good. Loved the biscuit with sausage gravy. What a lovely way to start a Sunday and a perfect new addition to the neighborhood

The Chef knows what she’s doing. Seasoning and blending of flavors were perfect. Went for brunch. Wasn’t busy at all. Not a good sign. Service was perfect. Don’t let this place fail by lack of business.
