Earlier this fall we stopped in Black Earth for what…? Shoes. Then on the way out of town we saw this little restaurant. So why not stop? GLAD WE DID. The staff were nice the food was amazing and very tasty.

I was told there were no breakfast places in Black Earth. They were wrong. We tried this place today on our way to the Shoe Box. My wife got the senior pancake with bacon and I got the Black Earth Special Skillet. The pancake was huge and very good. My skillet was perfect with eggs a perfect over medium, perfectly cooked hash browns, lots of brisket and cheese. Neither one of us could finish it. My only suggestion would be to get Splenda packets for the coffee.

Awesome restaurant with great service. Tons of unique Mac and cheese options served in a bread bowl. The food is high quality and large portions. Brisket was incredible. We were really impressed and wish this place was closer to home! Highly recommended, even if it is out of your way!

Have you tried Macs? If you think that is good, you will LOVE Macker Backer’s. Not only will you eat your fill, but you will have enough to take home for your next meal, and it heats up to be just as good as the first time.

Like others, we stopped here after visiting the big shoe store in town. The place is clean, the server was really nice, and HUGE portions at very reasonable prices. The whole family enjoyed the mac-centric menu, and everything was delicious.
