This is the real gem of the area! Every time I’m in the area, this is a stop we have to hit at least a few times. Best clam tenders, fried scallops, and lobster rolls I’ve ever had the pleasure of devouring! Being from Indiana, “fresh seafood” isn’t really a thing. However, one of my favorite parts of eating at Mac’s is seeing folks drag in tubs of fresh seafood off the boat from that day.

Food wasn’t up to par.. lobster previously frozen maybe, fan part of claw still intact and another piece inch long in it cartlidge for $25 a small sandwich and no chips or fries is expensive. Left hungry! Fish sandwich was great last time I was there

Wife and I had the displeasure of getting our lunch/dinner here today. We ordered the seafood platter, as it stated was enough for 2 people. That claim is debatable! It was also $48…a bit high. As we often do, we took this home and warmed the food in the oven. First off, the scallops were huge, which made me happy…at first. Unfortunately they were way undercooked. Some of the popcorn shrimp were not completely cleared of their shells, and the french fries were about as untastey and soggy as I’ve ever had. The haddock was perfectly cooked, and the whole clams were just ok. We will not return here and I could not recommend them for good seafood….especially if you are a native New Englander! If you want excellent seafood take-out in this area, drive to Oxford and go to The Lost Gull. They know how to do it right!

I just moved from Portland and I was actually really worried about what kind of seafood would be up here in Lewiston. Let me tell you I’m not exaggerating when I say that these are the best scopes I’ve ever had. Better than Ken’s, better than the Clambake better than Damillo’s, better than two lights, better even than Susan’s! The portions were so generous the size of the scallops were so large and the price was smaller than any of them, but the taste my God. My husband’s burger was excellent and his clam cakes which I usually don’t care for were phenomenal. I’m not joking when I was talking about these scallops for the rest of the entire day and the next day!!

It was my first visit to Maine and these fine folks treated me right. Taught me how to clean the clams and how to open the lobster. Absolutely loved the food. I’d love to visit in the middle of October every year. Beautiful views and amazing food.

Whenever we come through this area, this is the #1 place, without a doubt to stop in. Haddock is AMAZING, fried clams are cooked perfectly & the lobster rolls are top of the line!! Must stop!!

Yum! I recommend swinging by Macs if you are near by! The fried scallops and both lobster rolls (the Clearwater & the lobster salad) are so good and filling too! We were very impressed with how fresh everything was; they make things to order and they do get busy for lunch so set aside time to enjoy the freshness
