I have seen this little building by the road several times and thought that it was closed. My family and I decided to stop by the other evening and I’m glad that I did. The owner greeted us when we walked in. He was great, we couldn’t decide what we wanted so he set us up with a variety of items including brisket and rib tips. The food was very reasonably priced and tasted great. We had plenty to take back home with us for later. Do not overlook this hidden gem.

Some of the best bbq I’ve ever had & the cinnamon roll bread was to die for. We used Brad to cater a baby shower and he was quick to respond, accommodating to our budget and so friendly! His food was so so good. Will use him again in the future and would recommend him to anyone looking to grab a bite to eat or to cater for a party!

Granted we were able to finally try their food at a local festival since every other time we try the store front it is closed. They were crazy busy and were getting great demand, but weren’t prepared for the crowd. We got a couple tenderloins but we only got the meat. They were out of buns, sides weren’t offered and condiments were scarce. (Ketchup or BBQ sauce, that was it.) Maybe next year will be better!

I was working in Sheridan today and we decided to stop in for lunch being that Mad Max is a small mom and pop shop which are my favorites. Immediately after walking in the door, we were greeted by the owner and made to feel welcome. The food was AMAZING. The service was AMAZING. The owner is incredibly friendly and personable. You can tell it’s a relaxed work environment for the employees, (which often times creates the best and happiest employees.) The owner sat with us and we talked about life and everything else under the sun. The only thing that disappointed me about this place is the distance from our home! We absolutely will be making the trip to return. Go check this place out. Definitely a hidden gem. I would give more stars if I could.
