Brunch felt like we were back in Tuscany, surrounded by olive & pencil cypress trees. The menu was Spanish farm to table + caviar. We started with the deviled eggs, they were fresh, fluffy and delicious. (the secret was a bit of sweet potato mixed in) Our hero had a summer omelette with asparagus, spring mushrooms & manchengo cheese) I had a cobb salad that was big enough to feed 4 with chicken, hearts of palm, tomatoes, avocado, soft boiled eggs, blue cheese and lardons.

Ambiance is excellent (which is what you’re paying for) , service is good but the food is very sub-par. Steak was cooked well but lacked flavor, the grilled octopus was overly fishy and overly cooked (rock solid) meaning it was likely boiled the day before and re-heated to plate. Risotto was watered down and flavorless. Overall, I don’t recommend — there are better places to catch a vibe and grab a bite.

Dined here Thursday night and Sandro was our server. He helped create an incredible experience with our food, drinks and the environment the whole night. It was really busy but he still managed to provide us excellent service. He gave us great recommendations on cocktails. If you want to be taken care of with amazing eats, dine here tonight

The location is fantastic. The views of the balcony tables are breathtaking. The service was very good. The bloody Maria was to die for. The cucumber ginger beer cocktail was very refreshing. Great menu selection for brunch. The fried chicken sandwich was crispy and very filling. The prices are much higher than the average Menlo Park. Great spot for a special occasions.

Beautiful location and ambience. The food is delicious too. Portions are fairly small but I honestly don’t see one person ordering 3 different things and finishing them. We made reservations so would recommend the same.

My husband surprised me with a reservation to Madera for our anniversary on a Monday. Our reservation was at 5:30 pm but they suggested getting there about 15 minutes early, so we got there around 5:15 pm and was seated right away. They have an open kitchen close to the entrance and lovely dining room with vaulted ceilings as well as outdoor patio spaces as well. I requested to sit inside but closer to the windows for the beautiful green scenery in the background.

We were there to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We decided to go there for brunch on Sunday. Every thing was amazing. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious. My wife is vegetarian and even though they had a set three course menu for Easter, they made a lot of accommodations for her. I highly recommend this place.
