Incredible vibe. Great atmosphere and lively crowd. So, why, the low score? For starters, there is no elevator. The bathrooms are not accessible. There are no wheelchair or mobility accessible restrooms. There are no sensors on the toilets or the sinks making it extremely challenging for anyone in a wheelchair or mobility issues to access. It is ACCESS DENIED. The women’s restrooms are tiny! I had to wait over 19 minutes for a drink as the bartender explained the bar was not equipped. Only the upstairs bar which is open to the outdoors has all the alcohol i requested, Titos.

The food presentation at Madero Cantina was beautiful but the enchilada red sauce tasted like ketchup, so I wasn’t a fan and would not order them again … the queso and chips were wonderful.

A salad isn’t necessarily the most important thing on a Mexican restaurant’s menu, but a good taco or burrito inspired salad can be really amazing. We ordered this salad to go (5 minute walk from the restaurant), and for some reason they put piles of the hot fajita veggies in with relatively few pieces of lettuce and lots of the fajita juice which cooked the lettuce. This is not a good salad. It’s basically just fajita veggies with wilted lettuce and a lot of liquid. It wasn’t really edible. I was hoping for something fresh, all they needed to do was include mostly lettuce with some room temperature beans and fajita veggies without the juice on top. A little bit of pico de gallo and a citrusy or cilantro-y crema would have been great to serve as the dressing. A salad needs to have good greens at it’s core.

They lost my credit card under floor decking. Didn’t care. Said maintenance can retrieve it in a few days and charge your round of drinks, or your friend can pay for it. Didn’t care that it was their fault or a huge inconvenience to me. “You can leave and don’t have to come back.” Plenty of other places to go.

Gave this place three tries. Equally disappointed each time. I thought it would improve. Good luck getting a drink at the rooftop area even with two employees working. Waited fifteen minutes for drink and I was one of five people at the bar. Was ignored several times but the “bartender” had plenty of time to text. Needless to say I walked away without being served. Go to Mad Mex which is only a few blocks away. Better food and definitely better service.

The best place in Pittsburgh to eat Mexican food. The tacos al pastor is a most! Good service and good music, there are a DJ mixing good hits on weekend. I’ll be back soon for sure

Enjoyed freshly made salsa, guac, and queso with some barbacoa taquitos. Loved how friendly and spirited everyone was. The restaurant is designed really funky with a lot of mural art. Coming back for Latin night!

Was ok. The views, chips and salsa were great. I got an extremely rare and bland carne asada. Had to ask for tortillas. The esquites tasted like canned corn with some spices. The rooftop looked pretty cool.
