This is a wonderful spot. If you’re looking for good food with southern hospitality wrapped in one. This is the place to be. However, it’s a bit of a wait because they cook the food fresh. Trust me when I tell you it’s worth it!!! Just bring your patience, and you won’t be disappointed.

I loved my experience. I went with my family a party of ten for my mom bday. She loves soul food so she picked this restaurant. The energy was so good. The owner and the waitress was unbelievably nice and welcoming. I felt like family for real. The bakery next door is nice too. The decor was so beautiful. I love that I support a black owned family business. I’m so proud!!! Thank you again. I will be at brunch on Sunday!!!

I had a catering order for my father’s birthday party (7/29). Chef Burke was easy to contact and communicate with, the payment process was easy as well. I also needed to add a few items and they allowed me to without any issues. The fact that I have never eaten at this establishment and just the marketing alone did enough to entrust them to do such a huge event for me speaks volumes. I ordered a variety of items and every single one of them was AMAZING.! Every guest raved about every dish, especially the Mac and cheese and honey garlic wings. Lis-ten here. I am soooo happy I was able to go hear. I was driving by relentlessly trying to catch them when they were open. Today was my BLESSED day that they were open. I stopped in for Brunch and it was EVERYTHING I needed. The catfish and grits was perfection. Crunch and perfectly cooked, flavor on point! Grits with cheese delicious…tasted the oxtail and grits and the serving size was a good portion and great flavor. Great music and nice interior and new friends to meet and talk to. Try it, you won’t be disappointed and let them know I sent ‘cha!

When it comes to soul food, it’s so hard to find a spot where you really enjoy your entire meal. This place hit all the right spots. Oxtails were great, wings seasoned and fried perfectly, yams were sooo good ( I’m super picky with my yams too.) and the whiting was perfect. No complaints about anything. Portions we’re worth the price. Definitely will be a regular here. I can’t wait to try other items on their menu.
