I went to a group dinner, I didn’t have to pay but I would’ve been disappointed had I. Ordered salmon and Alfredo. It was ok but not so much for the price. I believe the dish was around $27. It wasn’t super busy and I felt the service was a little slow but they were nice. My drink was strong. The atmosphere was nice.

The food was average but also leaned on the overly salted side. The server was younger and a bit overwhelmed but also kept going to the beverage area to check her phone. I understand that component, life happens but it did seem like my attempts to get noticed were ignored. The atmosphere is dated but lends itself to a more casual dining experience which is typical of the area. Not bad, not great.

Everything was top tier and wonderful, however, my only mark against is that despite the steak being delicious and perfectly cooked (very underrated quality these days unfortunately), I don’t feel the price was completely justified, as it still remains to this day, the most expensive piece of meat I’ve ever consumed.

Went there July 29th around 5:00, after being seated we were completely ignored by the wait staff. After about 20 minutes of no one coming to our table, I noticed two waitresses standing in the doorway of the banquet room jaw-jacking and not making any attempts to wait on anyone. I got up and asked the hostess who our server was and said we are ready to order our meals. We have been eating here for years and are regular customers. It was the second time this type of thing has happened and there will not be a third. Raising the prices of the menu is one thing but lowering of the service is a bad combination.

In a world that expects tips automatically for everything…THIS restaurant experience deserved one!! Our waitress Catherine gave us one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a LOOOOONNG TIME!!..She provided nothing but the best customer service…everything from providing a welcoming environment to full knowledge of the menu for any questions we may have!! The food was also DELICIOUS!!! And their Ginger Ale is SECOND TO NONE!! That Pesto sauce was excellent!! Trust me..we intend to return!!

This place is the bomb! The service is always good here and the food is always great. Their sauces are great. I’ve only had 2 of them but both of them are GREAT! The pasta is GREAT! The appetizers are alright. Nothing special when it comes to the starters here. Even though I always ask for “no ice” in my drink it was still cold as hell.

Elissa here. We had been to Magdaleno a few years ago and decided to go back. We don’t get out often for date nights so we usually stick with the same couple places but wanted to give this a chance again because our last visit was good. I have celiac disease and was told they had gluten free pasta when I called (about a half hour prior). When we got there and went to order I was told they had run out. I was very disappointed that I could not order pasta and ordered something else I didn’t really want that was just ok, veggies tastes boiled and chicken was swimming in sauce. With celiac your options are limited especially in an Italian restaurant so it’s a rare treat to be able to have a pasta dish, which is what I wanted. They did give me gluten free bread, 3 or 4 very small pieces. Extra bread was extra money. My husband felt his meal was adequate but not really impressed. Dessert was decent but not great. The waitress and staff were nice. We are not people who like to complain/send food back or feel comfortable doing so, maybe to our detriment, especially because the meal was about $100. I don’t think we’ll be back.

What started out as a birthday party celebration at this restaurant turned into a nightmare. We had made reservations ahead of time, and when we arrived our table was so close to another table that we could not pull the chair out and sit down. We asked for a manager to help resolve the problem, she wouldn’t come out to talk with us but left it up to the wait staff to handle. Once finally settled, we waited TWO HOURS for our food (no appetizers were ordered). The portions were small, the ravioli was more like a soup with four medium sized raviolis, the chicken piccata looked like something you would find at a nursing home, my $10.00 glass of wine was definitely a paltry pour, and we had to ask for bread at an “Italian” restaurant. We have dined here in the past but we will never be back here again.

Absolutely terrible experience! I have been coming here for at least five years with consistently great food and service. I took 12 people with me on March 19th, 2023 to celebrate my birthday. What an awful night! Ten of the twelve people did not even eat their food! My veal was greasy and salty…and it had always been previously delicious! Also…the prices have increased exponentially…my entre was $29.99…outrageous! And to make matters worse…the creamy cheese/spinach dip that usually accompanies the bread has now been replaced with a balsamic oil. You can still get the cheese sauce, but now must pay for it! I feel so sad that this restaurant has really gone down hill. I love supporting small local business. But…not sure now if I could ever come back here.
