Honestly my daughter and I love coming to this place on Saturdays after the Farmers Market because it’s quiet for lunch service and we sit in the air conditioning and just hang out I usually get seared tuna and a house salad. It’s so good. Love the tall windows in there. We’ve also had family dinners there and everyone’s food looked amazing. Really big chicken parmesean etc. Definitely worth checking out.

My wife and I decided to have Sunday lunch here. First impression: the atmosphere was nice, interesting old restored building/mill, exposed beams, fresh look, clean. We ordered the caprese salad appetizer. It was $15 and had 3 slices of tomato, 3 slices of mozzarella, a minimal drizzle of the balsamic glaze on a 1 inch bed of arugula that filled in the rest of the plate. The first tomato had a tough core and I could not eat it. The other two were OK but that was not a $15 appetizer. The entree’s didn’t wow us, and for the cost, both were disappointing. When the meal was delivered, I ask if they have any bread. Something like garlic knots would’ve been somewhat redeeming. The waitress said you have to request bread – kind of odd for an Italian restaurant in my opinion. She brought out a plate of what appeared to be (and tasted like) Mrs. Schubert’s yeast rolls. And there is no doubt in my mind they were microwaved. For the cost, I had pretty high expectations. It didn’t even come close. A lady I work with said she heard great reviews on the place, but it was a year or more back. No plans of returning anytime soon.

Really nice Italian food for a reasonable price. The 3 of us ordered 2 cocktails, 2 starters, 1 soup, 2 mains, and 2 desserts. I wouldn’t do that again without a 4th person. 8 hours later and my stomach is finally not feeling full. All the dishes were excellent, packed full of bright fresh flavors. The handmade pasta was great and the risotto cooked perfectly. The server started of a bit cold, professional and attentive, but he warmed up shortly there after. Overall a great time and I’d certainly recommend it and go there again.

First time visit to Canton mill shops, was pleasantly surprised at the selection of restaurants already thriving in the complex.

This was the 2nd time we tried Magnolia Villa. First time was right after they opened w/party of 6. Both times we liked the atmosphere but the food and service left a lot to be desired. This time we were a party of 4. The hostess looked miserable and looked like we were inconveniencing her. The server seemed new or needed more training, did not know the specials, got 2 of the 4 cocktails wrong, there were no vegan or vegetarian options, they were out of the PEI mussels, we asked for olive oil and parmigiana for the rolls, and they charged us $1.50 for it?? The calamari was sparse and over fried mixed in a basket of fried zucchini and jalapeños. The dates were hard on the flatbread the carpaccio was good. Maybe the first time we tried they were new still working out the bugs and the 2nd time was a later reservation 7:45 on a concert night Saturday and 3/4 full?? We may/may not try again.
