Had lunch at Magoo’s Eatery in Winter Haven today, located near 6th St SE on Ave C SE across from the National Guard Armory. I had the Rib Tips and two sides plate (Mac and Cheese, Smoked Cabbage) with a bottle of water. Two things: the food was scrumptious, tasting way better than the photo can convey, and I will be back More take-out focused than dine in, so be aware.

This place has was really good. I received friendly service and the food tasted amazing. This is a real bbq joint where you can see the smoker outside actually grilling the meat. The sides where tasted great as well. I also loved the lemonade. I drive from Lakeland to Winter Haven mid week to eat

I came here strictly off the reviews of other people. They almost had a perfect score. I don’t know if my tastebuds are out of whack but the Mac n cheese was a hard no. They put something in there that doesn’t belong and I can’t put my finger on it. I had to toss it. The ribs were nice and fall off the bone but had no char to them and they also lacked flavor. Not a fan. 2 stars specifically for them being fall off the bone. Everything else was a no.

2 thumbs up!! Everything was delicious. Ordered 2 dinners, the rib tips and 3 bone rib dinner with baked beans, mac & cheese and potato salad. I was NOT disappointed. Ribs were tender, sauce was great but really didn’t need it. Cornbread was my favorite. Customer service was great, the ladies were friendly. Will definitely return!!

We went there Wednesday evening for dinner. The food was amazing……We ordered the Pork Fries, Ribs, Pulled Chicken, Pulled Pork we had it all. Don’t get me started about them BBQ Beans, Amazing! The Mac & Cheese, lets just say it was the best I have had. Hands Down, Best BBQ in Polk County.

Came for lunch in between my classes. The food came out fast; I got the quarter chicken with Mac n cheese and green beans. The food was amazing! The chicken literally fell off the bone with just the use of my fork. Definitely will be coming back and recommending this place to others.
