This place was recommended to us from someone in Fort Davis and I am glad she recommended it. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic as well especially since we came in 15 minutes before closing time. I really liked our waitress since she was of great spirits and she really took good care of us.

First time at this place. I had the chicken fried steak with jalapeno gravy which I had never heard of. It was delicious. The gravy was not spicy hot but it had the jalapeno flavor which was very good. Everybody was very nice and made sure that everything was good. Great place in a small town I’ll be back

The Maggo Burger was the best burger I’ve had in a long time, unlike all those so-called “gourmet” burgers that are either too big to eat or are spread all over your plate. This one tasted great and was a perfect lunch.

Popular spot with the locals. Food is nothing special but the people you meet here are the gem! Waitress, while very busy, gave us great service. Food came out rather fast for the amount of traffic in this restaurant. Fun atmosphere, loud, and crowded but that’s what makes this place a must visit.

I lived in Alpine as a student and I never went here. So, I came back to work at Sul Ross State. My coworker took me here for lunch. I had breakfast (French toast and hash browns). It was very delicious. The service was pretty good, too.

Good food and even though every table was full when we were there for lunch rush, the service was awesome. Food was out quick too. We ordered the Magoo burger and grilled cheese sandwich with fries. They know what they are doing!!

Hospitality is a zero. I completely understand having breakfast hours and sticking to them but someone walks at 10:55 a.m. still wearing a hospital band and you refuse to serve oatmeal, you don’t deserve to be a Texas diner. There’s nothing Texan about that. We even offered to mix the oats and hot water ourselves. I’m response we get “If I serve you breakfast, I have to serve everyone breakfast.” You have no one to answer to but yourselves and you choose not to be hospitable. BTW, guess who served us oatmeal half an hour later. McDonald’s! You’re being outdone by McDonald’s!
