I’ve been meaning to try Maharaj since they opened but haven’t had the chance to get out to Northbrook until recently. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the portions. Favorite dish of the night was the Chicken Saag/Mint Masala. Perfect blend of spices and the chicken was cooked perfectly. I appreciate that they ask for your spice/heat level. I went with medium, but I should’ve gone with Hot. Samosas were quite crisp and full of filling. Excellent good overall. The food is cooked to order, so be prepared to wait a bit. Will be returning to try more of their menu!

We used to go here a lot, but last week we were disappointed as we brought friends to celebrate birthday, and we ordered “mild” spicy grill mix and it came very spicy we could not even eat. So we asked if it can replace it, the server was very rude and started telling if they ask for mild , this is what mild is so they took it back and probably just wiped it the chicken or washed and brought back the same plate. Chicken was not that spicy anymore but vegetables were still extremely spicy. My friends were visiting for the first time and we Convinced to celebrate his birthday there as we assured the place was great

It was the best Indian food I’ve ever had, and the customer service was amazing! We had the dinner plate for two and it was great portions. They had the perfect chili sauce if you want a kick in your food. Will definitely come back again.

Want to try something new and real Indian test, then this is definitely the one to try. Tue staff was extremely courteous, welcoming which made the whole experience just awesome to start with. We have ordered Chinese soup, noodles and Punjabi various dishes. All the dishes were well prepared and tested soooo good. It was fun and tasty dinner. I would highly recommend this place and I would definitely be coming back over and over. As long as they keep consistent food taste and service level. Cheers Maharaj’s.

I’ve had Indian food before and it was delicious. I went here based on reviews and was disappointed. The butter chicken was sweet and then just had some spice at the end. It was not like any butter chicken I’ve ever had. The restaurant also pops up on goggle search as a halal restaurant and it’s not. The naan was good but that’s about it. The rice was bland and cold. The mango lassi tasted as if the yogurt had gone bad. Left unsatisfied with a stomach ache and ended up going to Chick Fil A for a quick bite. Spent too much and didn’t even like the food.
