This was our second time trying Ethiopian food, but the first time at this location. Everything was very good and so much flavor. Love trying all the different sauces and meat. It’s a fun experience, since you don’t use plates or utensils. Just your fingers and everyone eats off the same plate of food. Our family loves trying different ethnic foods. We got the taste of Mahider for 3 but was easily enough food to feed 4.

If you enjoy trying international foods, this place is not to miss! I wasn’t sure what to get, so I got a four-person sharing platter to share between our group of four. It was a lot of food and the four of us couldn’t even finish, though we really enjoyed it.

I ordered the vegetarian combination for take out . I appreciated the effort and care in taste quality and look at the presentation! All the lentils, greens, etc were not over seasoned – I was able to make out delicious aromatics- garlic, onion and cumin- (I might be wrong) – nothing was salty and held well the next day for leftovers (!! Shareable portions for reasonable price) I will have to return to dine in- thank you for a great first impression!

One of our favorite restaurants in SLC. We get the platter for four people, and we always have tons of leftovers even after six hungry people finish eating. The samosas were also really good. If you come earlier in the day for lunch, you’ll have a better chance of not needing to wait for a table!

Delicious food and it’s not a busy restaurant. Doro Wat is delicious as are the collards. If you would prefer to eat with utensils, ask for them. Ethiopian food is served on injera bread, which is a tasty, elastic and thin flat bread. You use the bread as your utensil.

This is a quaint restaurant that is locally owned. I ordered the Mahider plate and tried most of their specialites. It is about $19 and worth it! The amount of food was over abundant and delicious. They have choices for meat lovers, vegetarians and vegans. My favorite is everything on this platter. I had a hot tea that had a nice spice to it as well. I ordered desert to top it off and there was more than enough for one person, it was the amount t for two people.
