Stopped here on our way back to Columbus from Chicago. Completely worth the detour!! The maid rite is roughly equivalent to a junior hamburger at Wendy’s, and two were more than enough for me. They had a nice flavor, with a hint of sweetness in the bun. The meat is high quality and the toppings are balanced. There’s a reason there’s always a line here.

We have been going to Maidrites for around 30 years. Always a great meal. The shakes are so good. There is not a lot of seating inside, but if the weather is nice, there are plenty of picnic tables out back. We have never been disappointed with the food or service. Make sure to order more than one sandwich. You’ll want at least 2, but we always get some to take home.

I have been a Maid-Rite fan for as long as I can remember. My uncle used to live in Celina and would stop off and grab a bag of the OG loose meat Sammies on his way to the Wood. I’ve made special trips with chicks and friends but one thing is for sure… It has always been great! Never disappoints! Stop in and grab a bag of Maid-Rites to make any day a special day!

Had a great experience going with my Dad and Grandpa! They told me a story about them coming and putting their chewing gum on the wall decade’s ago, and a story of the time the IRS allegedly busted Maid-Rite for tax-evasion by tracking the number of wrapping papers they’d bought for their sandwiches, and finding it was significantly more then then sandwiches reportedly sold. The food wasn’t anything amazing, but it’s only three bucks a sandwich, so I’d say you get what you pay for. You’re not really going for the food anyway. You go for the experience of going with friends and family back in time to a place that has remained the same for decades, and will continue to remain the same for decades to come. I will say however, one of my maid-rite sandwiches was maid-wrong and contained only one pickle instead of two. I didn’t say anything to the staff because I didn’t want anyone to lose their job, but for that reason I’m awarding them only 4 out of 5 stars.

Apparently, Mental Floss deemed this the best burger in Ohio in May of 2017…either someone was lying or something changed since then. The sandwich was just ok. The cheese and pickles made it bearable. I tasted the meat that fell out of the sandwich, and it was unseasoned, save a hint of a sweet note, which is strange to me for burger meat. Service was just ok…no one was rude, but the interaction was as if they were only there for a check. (I can excuse it, given that I was there near closing time.) And the gum on the walls and signs is a disgusting sight to endure at a food establishment, of all things. Needless to say, I have no reason to return. I hope you maintain something strong to keep business going, because what you have at the moment isn’t it.

I myself am very disheartened by the fact that the owner and or management of this establishment has treated their customers with being a manager of locally owned businesses to a national chain. I have never and will never speak to one of my customers in such way .. very very disappointed with the treatment. I have been a customer there for years… ! Now I may just have to make the 14 hour trip back to Iowa where I know it the customer service is very pleasant. I’m sorry but do better with your attitudes in your establishment this is completely unacceptable.
