I saw articles about Maie Day and some amazing Instagram worthy photos, so thought we would try this place out. Made a reservation for 4 on a Friday night. We were seated in the corner off shoot area by a window so the atmosphere was different from the rest of the restaurant where the open fire grill and the bar were.

Best grilled chicken in my life! The waitress was super nice and she gave us free dessert because it was our anniversary. We tried the crab claw for the appetizer and it was ahhhhmazing. I would order everything again except the dessert.

I feel like I need to set the record straight. I saw a ton of dodgy reviews for this place – but my experience (just a ribeye, glass of Malbec and fries) was on point. Steak was absolutely perfect. Pricey – ($70) but really good! Not sure what everyone is whining about – but maybe I got a good night. Would return!

I’m in 2 minds about Maie Day. On one hand the ‘Ola’s biscuits’ were astonishingly good, never thought it possible but it was a perfect cross between a scone (yes yes ok my Texan friends, fine a ‘biscuit’) and a croissant, with honey butter and the perfect among of salt. Just wow!

Ordered the prime rib and it was really nice. Serving was generous, and after cutting away the burnt ends around the steak, the rest was absolutely delicious. Coupled with a cup of red wine, and ending the meal with a cup of coffee and you would have as perfect a dinner as one could ask for.

The food is incredibly overpriced. $70 for a mediocre ribeye, $35 for chicken fried steak. We just ate at 3 forks which was fantastic, and paid the same price. The portions are large, but just not that good. The temp in the restaurant was 80 degrees, making it uncomfortable! Service was good, very prompt!

Every dish we tried was excellent! Extensive cocktail menu, shrimp cocktail was off the chain, and the chicken was amazing. Mac n cheese was gooey goodness. Really sweet servers. I agree the cooks should hang back on the salt—fix that and this will be our favorite restaurant in town. Excellent, y’all.

This was a great experience. Our server advised us on what and how to order. She did a great job. Some of the best food I’ve had in awhile. Prime rib, crab claws and banana foster -top dishes of the night.
