First time here and I will absolutely be back. Everyone you encounter (even customers) are extremely nice! I can’t wait to come back. I had the Mediterranean Platter. And to kill that sweet tooth a slice of cheesecake!! Wanted to try a little of everything. Plus a cute vintage Coca Cola fridge with drinks , Honest honey green tea it was for me. Another customer had the Philly Cheesesteak and sweet potato fries, that’s next on my list!!! A must try! ( don’t let the construction detour you. Was easy to find and worth it )

Went to pick up lunch early and ordered three sandwiches to go. Had several people come in to pick up large to go orders ahead of me and I ended up waiting about 30 minutes for my food. Also, not the fault of the restaurant but the downtown construction noise outside made it almost unbearable to wait for that long. Got home and the bread on the Reuben was burnt to a crisp, the patty melt was unseasoned and the french fries were soggy and disappointing. Not the worst food in the world but certainly not the “best deli in Garland”.

First off the service was excellent. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed with a few people having business lunches. The sandwich I had was good and meat was plentiful but I could have used a little more zing on the Reuben sauce (just my personal choice). We will definitely try again.

Wish we took a picture, but we devoured it too fast! It was absolutely wonderful. The Main Street Italian and Peppered Turkey subs were delicious. The potato soup of the day and sweet potato fries were fresh and fantastic too. Excellent service! Will definitely return!

The restaurant has an old world feel with mid century decor but the real gem is the food! My hubby has been to Main Street before and said I just had to try their gyro salad and I was NOT DISAPPOINTED! The owners are hands on just like restaurants in Europe and hubby and I enjoyed talking with them. When I asked if the salad had one of the things I can’t eat they readily said it could be left out. They make the food from scratch not a mix from a bag! The lamb was fantastic and the tzatziki was superb. The pita slices made me want to try their gyro pitas. We’ll definitely going back!

Sweet Potato
Vibe and food were good. The only reason I am giving 1 star is poor customer service. My friend had a service dog and they turned the dog away…. He said some kind of law changed recently and they are no longer required to allow service dogs into restaurants (which I just found out to be untrue).

I really like this place! The prices are reasonable, and the food is really great! I got a ruben sandwich, and it was delicious. Fun fact: Their gyro won first place at the State Fair last year, so I’m planning to try that next time I go. They have a whole variety of sandwich type foods and salads, so if you go with a friend, chances are you can both find something you each are happy with!
