Quaint downtown Main Street USA kind of place, with a non-Main Street menu. Offerings are not plentiful but of the dozen plus choices, you may have a difficult time choosing which makes you want to come back to see what you missed.

Walked in for the first time and ordered the catfish nuggets and shrimp and grits. We also got an order of cornbread. The catfish nuggets were well done (great for me) and we couldn’t even finish the shrimp and grits. The cornbread had a hint of flan taste. This place is an absolute must. If NOTHING else, please go to get your feel of what customer service is SUPPOSED to be! This day and age, even the basics are non existent. Amazing vibes, great experience.

Recently stopped in for dinner with a group of 9. We all had something different and it was all fantastic. I had the chicken sandwich and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The brisket was a hit and so was the burger. You can’t go wrong here. The staff was great also. Very patriotic also.

Stop in out of the blue. The staff greeted me at the door and they were really helpful and friendly. Everything we tried was delicious! The chicken and waffles and kids chicken tenders were great, but the Lamb Chops were the star of the show. Can’t wait to go back and try some other things on their menu. It’s definitely worth checking out if you are looking for great food and atmosphere. They also have a bar for those that are interested.

We were in Rocky Mount picking up a repaired pinball machine and wanted to stop for lunch before heading three hours home. I found Main Street Gastropub on Yelp and decided to try it. DeSahawn greeted us with a big hello and a great smile. His service was top notch all the way through. I had the shrimp tacos and my friend had the wagyu taco (which is actually a burger). Our food was delicious and made with care. The flavors were fresh and delicious. Don’t miss this place if you are passing through or don’t often visit downtown.
