What a great place! The food was delicious. The service was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu. It’s very traditional French, but the server was able to explain all the questions we had. The brussel sprout appetizer was delicious, as was everything else. Prices were very fair. It’s great to have Maison in the neighborhood.

Had an awesome atmosphere and menu. Perfect place to have some wine with friends while trying some delicious french food. Great vegetarian options, the mushroom soup and asparagus are definitely worth ordering. Waitress Dawn did an amazing job answering all of our questions and making sure we were taken care of. Can’t wait to go back!

Not bad, but not great. The meal was overall good, although they were horribly understaffed – I felt bad for the two guys working trying to serve the whole restaurant. The dessert was obviously prepared previously, my crepes were cold and the inside was almost frozen. My steak was pretty good though, and the appetizers were reasonable.

We love Maison, we go there regularly. The wine selection is wonderful!!! You can be confident you will get a great glass when you order any of the house wines, which I personally love in a restaurant. You can also tell they really take care in designing and selecting food sources. It’s perfect for a special meal out or a small plate and a glass of wine.

THEY HIDE THEIR BAD REVIEWS ON FACEBOOK! Worst service I have ever had. We went here for mother’s day brunch and had the most inattentive server I have ever had. At the end of our meal, the owner came out and asked us how it was, as it was their first brunch ever and their first time being open on a Sunday. We never received plates for our bread (as well as having to ask for water and our check because the waitress was near the kitchen on her phone, having to ask for spoons for dessert, etc) and noted to the owner how the people next to us didn’t have any either. He said “that’s funny, because that was her family.” The owner said that he would love for us to come back to dinner sometime. We will not be back.

***they delete and hide bad reviews on Facebook rather than responding*** My family came in for mother’s day brunch and we were not impressed. Our server never introduced herself to my family and instead we overheard her say that she was annoyed that no one was tipping 20%. We waited about 20 mins before we received our mimosas and had our orders taken. We received a plate of 4 biscuits 20 minutes after placing our order. We did not get any plates and I had to walk up to the bar and ask for plates. The soup arrived about a half hour after we received the rolls. The soup was incredibly salty and we didn’t have any water on our table. I had to again go up to the bar and ask for water as our table was not tended to. Then we waited for 45-50 minutes to receive our main course. I ordered rare steak and eggs and received cold eggs with incredibly tough, salty, and burnt steak. I did not get a steak knife and didn’t want to send the meal back as the waitress did not return to ask how our meal was so I decided to eat it as to not ruin mother’s day brunch. We asked for boxes and water after waiting with our finished plates in front of us for 20 min. We never received the water and I had to again ask for it. As we waited for dessert, my family grew so annoyed with the innatentive service that I went to the bar to ask for our check. The creme brule was the best part of the meal but it still wasn’t fantastic. This brunch was 50 a person and the food was most definitely not worth the price. If the food is that price, it should be worth it. But no part of our dining experience was worth it. Highly disappointed with the whole ordeal and wish I would have spent my money elsewhere. The worst part is that there were only 4 other tables dining at the restaurant so there really was no excuse for the poor service and poorly prepared food.

Wish I could say I was impressed. I love french food, so I was especially excited to dine at Maison, but I was quickly disappointed. I found the restaurant location to be very strange. It is right next to a bus stop, and there is a bill board attached to the building. Is this supposed to be a fancy restaurant or a sleazy club? When we walked inside, the place was dead. We stopped in around 8 pm, which is 2 hours before closing. I found dinner to be especially awkward because the staff stood and watched my party and I eat. When I have dinner with my friends, I want some privacy. I do not want be stared at the whole time! Not professional and very awkward. Not to mention that our waitress had horrible hygiene. When I am being served by someone who looks like they haven’t showered in a week, I can’t help but lose my appetite a bit. For an appetizer, we got the escargot. The snails came in their shells, but with no sauce or butter what so ever! Not to mention that our waitress didn’t bring out any tongs or cocktail forks to actually eat them with. Not to say that I actually wanted to eat them, because the flavors were so bland without any butter or sauce that they could have come in. We also got oysters, which were probably the smallest ones I have ever seen, I will say the sauce they came with was good. The entrees were sub par, and had very sloppy plating. I like to take pictures of my food when I eat out, but I didn’t bother because it looked like a pile of mush! I had the coq au vin, which normally is my favorite French dish. To say the least, I was not impressed. My friend had a steak, which was so tough that she could barely cut it! My friends both thought their meals weren’t anything special, especially for the price. My advice? Don’t waste your time and money dining at Maison. The food is way too overpriced for the quality and experience. I would not be surprised if this restaurant closed down in a year. I recommend eating at Le Reve Cafe or Lake Park Bistro instead.

Coq au Vin was delicious as was the lamb and salmon. Shared appetizers were also and soups as well. Service was friendly and accommodating. Sympathized with staff about the city’s lack of consideration in waiting to repair the sidewalk out front until after they opened. Don’t let the sidewalk issue keep you away.

The casual café atmosphere and friendly staff make classical french food very approachable.

Served raw salmon. Usually I like my fish on the medium rare side but this fish was completely undercooked and the waiter agreed. Took another 20 min to get a new order and the rest of my party was finished eating by the time my food was ready. Then when the bill came I was charged full price! Horrible experience!
