We had a nice time at Margaux, although the food was mixed. The scallops, cauliflower soufflé, and short ribs were all first rate. The Onion Soup was solid. But the bouillabaisse and green beans were far too salty and oily. The ratatouille was also a disappointment. The meal ended well with an excellent pineapple pie. Solid service and cool vibe. Not sure if I would come back given the price point to quality ratio, but worth at least one visit if you like French food.

Maison Margaux is a new modern French restaurant in Minneapolis that is raising the bar for French dining. The restaurant has a unique and stylish interior. The staff is wonderful, providing attentive and friendly service. The menu is offered in both French and English, adding to the authentic French experience. It will be considered one of the most important restaurants to open this year. Overall, Maison Margaux is a promising new addition to the Minneapolis dining scene with great customer service and a stylish ambiance.

MM is worth the reservation! Large and impressive wine selection. Small but varied cocktail list. Beers and n/a drinks also available. Atmosphere is beautiful with a crisp modern comfortable feel. Servers wear deep blue vests. Both David and Eli were on hand to greet guests. Our server Aaron was prompt, attentive, and friendly. We’d like to come back to try more of the menu, but we’re pleased with the tartare, tuna, and steak frites. The flow of things seemed a hair off, but I suspect this is because it’s still their first month. Overall a tight operation and we look forward to going back with our family!

The atmosphere is very good and the food and service (especially Cloe) are excellent. Appetizers can be ordered at the bar on the main level. There are three levels with the restaurant on the main level, event space on the second floor and a basement bar. There is an elevator for easy access to all levels. The restaurant does offer valet parking. I was not disappointed.

I was able to snag a reservation before MM made news in the paper! A vibrant bar scene greets you as you entered from the Valet parking lot. The hostesses were friendly and got us seated right away. I love the floor and the atmosphere! It. could use a few noise dampening features so that we don’t need to yell across the table. The servers were friendly and courteous behind their blue tone uniform!. Ray showed us the upstairs space that can be rented out for special events, and the bar in the basement – gorgeous! Our server Sam was prompt, attentive, and friendly. We (4) really enjoyed our appetizers: Pommes Frites (the fries at the bottom got a bit soggy), Cauliflower & Chevre Souffle (I strongly recommend this one), and the Tomato & Onion Piperade with Tuna (also a must try). It is really nice to have breads made available w/o extra charge. My 1789 Vive la Revolution cocktail was OK, our friend seems to enjoy his Absinthe Frappe. For dinner: 3 of us ordered the Petit Bouillabaisse (which has a generous amount of fish, prawn, mussels. Albeit the broth was a tad salty – which I passed on to Chef Fhima), and a Halibut Chasseur. The dishes came out beautifully plated! As for dessert, we just shared the classic Creme Brulee, which was really good. We definitely will be back. The warehouse district is coming alive again after the pandemic.

Another winning concept from chef David Fhima. This new restaurant offers a Moulin Rouge vibe but the dining offerings are very much Fhima. The food is wonderful, the service friendly, and the atmosphere is fun and relaxed. Great cocktails as well. The wine selection is thorough and of very good quality

I will admit some bias, my fiance and I have eaten at everyone one of David Fhima’s restaurants and found them all to be delightful. Maison Margaux is exactly what one should come to expect from the Fhima’s and more.

Maison Margaux has unlimited potential to affect the food scene in North Loop. The duck confit and bone marrow was our favorite dish; however, we felt certain dishes lacked flavor/seasoning. They have only been open for a short period of time, so they will continue to work through their small kinks and improve their experience. I hope to return in the future!

Maison Margaux brings delicious French fair without the usual bougie stuffiness. Do yourself a favor and get the aligot.

I had the cauliflower, gruyere and chevre souffle. It had a delicious outside crust for a nice change in texture. Very light and fluffy and filling. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I wish the plateau de fruits de mer had a few more items on it for the price. Special treat for me and my friends. Loved our server! Sorry I can’t remember his name.
