Come hungry! The food is amazing and huge portions! It’s a must try while in Portland! The chicken empanadas and the Arepas were amazing! It was great for gluten free options as well!

We tried many of the items on the menu.. Everything was fried and many of the items were salty. There is minimal seating i would recommend you order to go. The tres leches cake was the best part of the meal.

Love finding some unique-to-me vegan food. The arepas was crisper/chewier than I expected, and really yummy. Avocado both on top and bottom of the pocket, stuffed in between with chickpeas, a tomato and a piece or two of cauliflower. Don’t try eating on a first date! Otherwise, you’ll love it. Appreciate the vegan options, and being totally gluten free! Decent size, but I needed a tad bit more to make it a full meal. Next time I’ll check out the apps.

Food is definitely freshly made but unfortunately my arepa with chorizo was flooded with grease, my buñuelos were burnt, and being familiar with Columbian bakery’s everything was overpriced besides the stuffed arepas. Staff was friendly and helpful plus the flavors were there.

I got the Basico arepa with pork and cilantro+oil sauce. Portions of pork were huge the sauces were amazing, my girlfriend had the Veg arepa with the garlic aioli sauce. 10/10 would recommend.

Found this gem on our way back to Boston from Acadia. A pretty and cute little place with amazing food. It was our first time trying the arepas. We had the one with grilled chicken and a veggie loaded arepa. Loved them both and the portions are huge and filling. The sauces we tried were the cilantro, spicy greens and the Sweet and spicy red sauce which was our favorite. We also loved the music playing in the background. Overall had a great experience. We also tried the drink which was a green tea with sugarcane juice and lime juice , it was delicious.

I loved the music and atmosphere here! What a gem of calm and comfort along the busy road of life! I was treated like a good friend or family and this was my first time ever having Columbian food. I had no idea what an arepa was, or what the rolls would taste like, or the sauces, tea or desserts. I was totally blown away by all of it! I had the veggie arepa with spicy green sauce, the tea that tastes a little like it’s mixed with lemonade, and DDL lover (dulce de leches) for dessert. 5 out of 5 on every item, including the bathroom and free water available in the dining area. I’m on the road a lot for work and it can be hard to find a clean restroom and access to water. Maiz ticked all the boxes all the way! I’ve gone from first timer to customer for life! Muchas Gracias!
