Came in an hour before closing, they had no empanadas and the lady making the food wouldn’t make any and definitely had an attitude. There was literally no one in the restaurant. Won’t be back and won’t be recommending Maizal. They just opened and the customer service is already subpar. Smh.

They have great food but they are ALWAYS closing way before they should. it’s not reason why i’m coming in at 8 and they close at 9 and they aren’t serving anything but bowls??? are you serious? if you aren’t closed until 9 pm why are bowls the only option? you say you turned the grill off why?? you don’t close for a whole hour.. do better.

I tried it for the first time Thursday, I was thoroughly unimpressed. I tried the brisket but it was tough and not really all that flavorful, even the rice was flavorless. The juice even tasted stale somehow… but given all of that I’ll still give it another try but this place is pretty disappointing so far.

They just opened up here in SE Washington DC. The food was very bland and not flavorful. I ordered a bowl with steak and it had less meat and more gristle. Almost broke a tooth with some hard matter(maybe bone). The servers were very stingy with their portions. Literally gave me a half tablespoon of guacamole which they quoted $1.50 or $2.00 depending on how much you want. They had no forks out and got an attitude when I asked for one. At this point I will not be going back, rather go next door to Mezeh whose prices are actually more affordable and give you better portions and service with a smile.

I placed an online order and when I went in to puck it up, the guy at the counters asked if he can help me. I told him I had an online order, and then he walked away and got another guy from the back. The guy from the back repeatedly tried to give me the wrong order. He asked to see my confirmation email, I showed it and he said “ oh I didn’t know that was you.” Lol I need y’all to improve on customer service because right now it’s horrible.

I had a great bowl on their opening. I took my youngest son back to grab a meal this week. I got it fully loaded with steak and guac and the works. The portions were generous and the presentation was perfect. We will be going back regularly. Definitely a step up from Chipotle. Also the fruit juices & horchata are awesome!
