Living on the SW for 8yrs I Was a long time fan of another Hawaiian spot off Durango and Windmill. Needless to say my neighbors from Maui told me about this little gem on Blue Diamond and after trying Makai once no other Hawaiian spot exists. Great cooks, Large portions and reasonable prices. Stopped here by coincidence looking for another spot and I’m glad we did! The food is ready kind of like panda Express and you can just go down the line and order what you want. Great if your in a rush. I didnt know what to get so I got the beef teriyaki, chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu combo. It was so much food my husband and I were able to share. the mac salad was my favorite Hawaiian mac salad I have tried anywhere. Definitely will be coming back whenever I’m in Vegas!

Nice and clean eating area and servers were nice and helpful. I had never been here before so the servers were good to explain options. I had the salad with 1 meat and 1 side. Really good price for the amount of food you receive. I had teriyaki chicken and thought the flavor could have been stronger. I found out too late I could have gotten a side of teriyaki sauce. It probably would have made all the difference. I will try it next time.

Makai is one of the few places that is consistently delicious every time I eat it. I get the same thing each visit, a medium with teriyaki chicken and steak, white rice, and macaroni salad and sweet corn. The macaroni salad is amazing and I could eat a mountain of that stuff. Even with the increased prices due to inflation and supply chain issues, it’s still a decent deal. Plus, they have Dole whips, which makes for a delicious dessert after the meal. Don’t be afraid to try their spicy teriyaki sauce as it adds the perfect amount of spiciness and flavor, making the food even more delicious.
