Delicious food in a nice and cozy restaurant. The naan bread was extremely fresh and delicious. I got the Makalu Nepali curry and it was absolutely amazing. My fiancé got the chicken tandoori and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned, with a big portion.

We had a nice meal here and it’s great to see another #halal restaurant open in Arlington! The kothey (pan fried momos), samosa chaat and mango lassi were delicious. The stir fried noodles, nepali fried rice and potato appetizer were great as well. Can be spicy so ask if you prefer mild. There’s seating for like 20 people but feels more like a casual takeout place. Overall great authentic Nepali / Indian food

Good Nepali food. Authentic tasting steam momo and alu chilli. They even had Thupka (noodle soup) which I have not had at other Nepali restaurants in/around Boston.

This restaurant is a hidden gem!!!! Don’t hesitate to try it! One of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. I can’t tell you what to order because EVERYTHING was delicious!!! Our table of 7 was blown away by the quality of the food and talent the chef has! Well done! I will be returning 100%. Can’t wait to bring my kids to try their dumplings:) So yummy and the value can’t be beat:)

I was really impressed that one of the servers (the owner?) of the restaurant recognized me. Then I realized I’ve probably been to this place once a month since it opened. Makalu is my favourite restaurant in Boston and I take all of my visiting friends and family here. The service is great and the food is out of this world awesome. You should eat here.
